D.A. Horn Antiquarian Books

Dropped in here quickly while in Adelaide. I have bought from the store online in the past and had to see it in person.The store itself is located in a very nice, modern building but the bookshop itself is the star! A carefully curated collection of books on a myriad of topics, my eye constantly drawn to the glass displays in which some of the rarer pieces live.While the selection and aesthetic is amazing, the true gem was the owner. Her ability to recount authors in the niche subject I am interested in was truly surprising, her knowledge on the topic and even specific works within it was not only refreshing but very welcoming. She's also as sharp as a tack, so pretenders beware!Unfortunately, I only had limited time to spend there as I was heading home to NSW, even so, we spent a good 30 minutes chatting on various topics.I will definitely be back, and anyone reading this should definitely visit. Bookshops of this calibre are few and far between and deserve our patronage as bibliophiles.
