Phantom Falls
Phantom Falls is a must see if staying in Lorne or nearby. Great hike and it is so beautiful when you finally get to the bottom of the waterfall. Highly recommended! Enjoy the fresh air and views!

Phantom Falls
A nice alternative to Erskine and other popular falls. A bit of a walk with some rather steep inclines. Every bit of 30 minutes and bit longer with kids in tow. Would be slippery in wet conditions but no worries when dry. Spotted a tiger snake around the rocks so keep an eye out in season. Well worth the trek with plenty to admire along the way.

Phantom Falls
A great hike even through wet weather which made the falls spectacular, even if the path gets a bit muddy. Lots of plants, animals and flowers to see along the way.Only thing to look out for is to return the same way you came when reaching the falls. The track following the rivers goes an alternate route that is longer and goes on a private path.

Phantom Falls
Not too difficult walking to Phantom Falls. Flat at the start and then up hill the rest of the way. Great spots along the river to stop for photos. Waterfall is great especially when there is plenty of water flowing.

Phantom Falls
Very nice walk to a nice waterfallA 30 mins walk from parking area to Falls, has flat areas and hills too. Track goes through a farm.Visited post rain period, track was very muddy but the falls was very impressive.Spot both domestic and wildlife animals.

This is a good tough hike through ferns and tall eucalypt trees with some great scenery located not far from Lorne on the surf coast with it´s rugged coastlines sandy beaches on the Great Ocean Road. Start in the car park just off Allenvale Road near Allenvale Mill Camp Site you then head up alongside the St George River alongside orchard before a descent to the base of Phantom Falls. It has one steep section with significant rock scrambling for a few hundred metres leading up to Cora Lynn Cascades, and for about 1km after Erskine Falls. Wear a decent pair of boots - this is not a track for wearing runners.

Hidden secret at the back of Lorne. Perhaps because you do need to trek cross country a bit. Worth the effort, as the view is stunning, especially after recent rain when it runs full. You need to be reasonably fit for the walk, and access is quite steep and it can be slippery after rain. Not recommended for people with mobility issues. If you take young children with you, be prepared to carry them over or down obstacles and rocks. Pls note, there is no mobile reception at the falls. So, be safe.
