Localized Organic Grocery

Localized gets most of its organic fruit & veg from local Aussie farmers.Vince is a legend, he makes good coffee and is such a friendly man, he really values a great customer service. His staff are very friendly and sometimes his brother Jeremy comes out to help out with the store.You won't find many high quality businesses like Localized.

Most unfriendly salesperson ever seen, from the outside!We arrived at 5:20 when Google and the sign on the window mention closing at 6pm. Shop locked. They were inside having drinks (3 of them, so not a function), and we asked what is the real time, that we were surprised. They/he did not even bother coming to the door to tell us why it was closed despite all information.Very disappointing and appalling attitude, especially from such shop where one would expect some ethics, friendliness instead of what we got.We could have become a regular customer as we are establishing and looking for our shopping habits but unfortunately, this won't be an option for us. We don't want this uncertainty and lack of respect for potential customers.Definitely do not recommend.

We happen to stumble upon this gem of a store during our little stroll in Richmond. Such a rarity to get such amazing and personalised service - thank you Vince. We left with several top notch products that we cannot wait to enjoy.

During my exchange year in Melbourne, I had the opportunity to work at Localized for a few weeks. Unfortunately, my time there ended abruptly when I was let go for what felt like an unfair reason. Despite always showing up on time for my shifts, I was informed that I wasn't enthusiastic enough about the job because I didn't arrive 10 minutes early. This experience left me feeling shocked and hurt.Although Vince, the owner, presents himself as someone who cares about his customers, he has a very different attitude towards his staff. In my experience, he was often rude and put a lot of unnecessary pressure on his employees without clear communication. When I first started working there, I was excited to contribute to the store's concept. However, when I suggested the idea of selling produce that was close to the expiration date at a discounted price, Vince dismissed it, stating that he didn't want to attract certain customers. Instead, perfectly good food was being thrown away, which doesn't align with my values of sustainability and reducing waste.If you're looking for a workplace that values its employees and prioritizes sustainability, I would suggest shopping elsewhere. My time at Localized was a disappointing experience, and I hope that others can learn from my story.

From Brisbane but never miss visiting this shop when I am in Melbourne. Beautiful fresh produce and great selection of grocery items and fabulous coffee and treats. Vince is so passionate about healthy living and incredible customer service. Love the local angle too.

Wow what an amazing store with great organic products. Vince is such a wonderful and passionate guy who will do anything to make you feel welcome. Me and my partner got offered coffee and tea as soon as we walked in to this store for the first time. Definently worth a visit just to meet Vince! Help out and support this store in Richmond! Will be back for more grocery shopping!

This is a wonderful place to shop! Vince is a ray of sunshine and always has a friendly greeting for you. He makes great coffee and a delicious assortment of other hot drinks. The store is well stocked with a great range of Australian food and products. There is always something interesting on the shelves. A good range of eco home supplies too.

Great little shop on Swan Street. Good selection of organic fruit, vegetables, milk and egg. There’s a selection of dry goods, freezer items, cleaning products and even wine. Extremely friendly staff and excellent service.
