Great venue. First time attending, and will love to come back for another gig! Great space, seating, bar... everything.

Forum is a heritage listed and iconic Melbourne building on the corner of Flinders Street and Russell Street. First opened in 1929 this building has hosted so many great performances. On this occasion I came to see the uber talented Matt Corby in person on the large stage. The venue is great for live performances like this with plenty of standing room, some seated tables and a couple of bars. Capacity is around 2000.Upstairs is the handy cloak room and 'gender neutral' toilets - not getting used to that.

Forum is such an amazing venue! This was my first time there, the venue itself and its decor was beautiful, big stage, plenty of room to move around, bar perfectly placed, the bar staff were friendly, drink prices were a bit high compared to other venues.

Went to see Michael Franti and Trombone Shorty, a perfect venue for these stars! This icon space is a small, intimate venue that allows you to feel part of the gig. Room to dance, easy access to the bars, art deco toilet is very cool.Performers could move from the stage into the crowd easily.

Stepping into the Forum Melbourne is like walking into a perfect blend of history, architecture, and modern entertainment. The venue itself is a visual spectacle, its vintage charm infused with state-of-the-art facilities creating a unique ambiance unlike any other. What truly makes the Forum Melbourne stand out, though, is its fantastic acoustics. It's clear that the design of the venue was crafted with a focus on providing the best possible sound experience. Whether attending a concert, a theatre performance, or a stand-up comedy, every word, note, and sound is crystal clear, making for an immersive and unforgettable experience.

Always a good venue with beautiful unique decor. Great variety of genres play here. Decent sound system from middle of the room but the bar is a little limited.Bathrooms renovated a few years ago and well done.

Love love LOVE this iconic Melbourne theatre. Such an intimate and kooky place to see live performances, I’ve been here twice in a few weeks to see live international musicians play. Thoroughly enjoyed on every level! Amazing ambience, great staff and service, perfect facilities. Easy parking nearby or public transport trams or trains.

This is a great live music venue in the heart of Melbourne. Awesome interior with blue ceilings that look like starry night. Great accessibility. Good mix of standing and seating arrangements. Spacious. Beautiful architecture. And so easy to get to.

The Forum has just won the Best Live Venue at the 2022 Music Victoria Awards. My most recent experience was the DPR Live tour last week which was sold out - and pretty awesome! The sound is always amazing in this venue and due to it's unique decor has a great vibe.Patrons have access to standing area in front of the stage (General tickets) or Booths (usually seat up to six). There's also some standing sections behind the Booths. Two bars either side serve alcoholic and non- alcoholic beverages. Staff are very friendly and fast.Bathrooms, cloakroom and an extra bar are located upstairs (accessible by a small lift).Heaps of restaurants located nearby if you want to eat before or after your show.Public transport options include train, tram and taxi. Otherwise plenty of parking options (costs apply)
