James and this team did a wonderful job fixing some fibreglass damage on my boat. The boat looks brilliant and James was extremely helpful dealing with the insurance company. Would definitely recommend Port River Marine to anyone needing fibreglass repairs.

Sensational service today when my Husband went to purchase his Takacat 300LX, we had met James at the Adelaide caravan show, from that moment we had our hearts set on getting this great little boat. We are full time travels, travelling Australia in our Titanium Caravan and wanted a boat that was simple yet safe. This one ticks all the boxes and with the added great service it was a no brainer.Cannot thank James at Port River Marine enough … his service and attention to detail was exceptional.We will be promoting this product & business wherever we travel.

For our Sonata 7 trailer-sailer we had James and his team at Port River Marine in Adelaide take out our swing keel for checking integrity and operation, and for a sand-blasting back to bare metal and a full epoxy recoat as the original coating had started showing bare (rusting) metal.It was well worth it as the pivot bolt had bent after many years of use (built in the mid 1980’s, we’ve had her for 3 years now). Along with a general inspection he also provided the thru-hull replacement with proper metal fittings, as ours (maybe all these) yachts were all built with plastic thru-hulls that were aged and brittle.We also needed window replacements, as we had the original Perspex windows held with many nut/screws had crazed and cracked. We now have a gorgeous set of bonded-on, slightly grey-tinted windows that give us privacy, and as we sail the Whitsundays, admiration.PRMS also did the antifouling we needed - but first, James showed us how gelcoat had degraded with time, so we needed a proper epoxy re-coating to hold the antifoul properly. And with the below-waterline area to be renewed, we also took the option for a proper epoxy redo of the above-water hull area – it looks fabulous and we’ve had a quite a few comments about how good it looks.All our work was done beautifully, with only a few days delay due to staff COVID absences getting in the way. James is great to deal with, is very approachable and easy to talk with about options and cost-effectiveness. The yard deals with boats of all types, from our modest trailer-sailer to massive motor ‘yachts’. James himself started on trailer-sailers so there was understanding and enthusiasm for our needs, and no problem with us being too small a job.We know we have found a place that can look after our new acquisition for those harder / bigger jobs with confidence. With no new trailer-sailers being made these strongly-built craft from the 80’s are taking on a new life for getting about Australia to sail and boat-camp in our fabulous waters.We highly recommend James and his team at Port River Marine Services for all this type of work.David and Michelle

I purchased a Takacat 260LX from James and the team at PRMS as a tender for my B.Oceanis 34 yacht. I have been really impressed with the sales communication and ongoing assistance.I used the tender extensively over summer, and it's been fantastic but I did run in to a problem. James and the team were fantastic and lived up to the support promise of providing full assistance and after sales help.I could not be happier, as everyone is usually helpful when selling you something, but exceptional after sales support is hard to find! They provide a good service for Adelaide. They can't stock everything but can get what you need. Bought a Highfield from them and they have good knowledge of the brand. Jim, James and Marteen are always so helpful.
