Gungahlin Children's Centre

Both of our boys attend Gungahlin Children's Centre our eldest (3.5 year old) since he was 6 months old. The staff are friendly and consistent and the carers in each room have fostered strong relationships with our children. Not only do they want to go to day care, we feel 100% comfortable leaving our children in their care knowing they will be cared for and loved. We receive a detailed rundown of their days at pick up and they are wonderfully accommodating to our sons food intolerance's. It is easy to go to work each day knowing when we pick them up they will be happy with lots of wonderful stories, particularly from our from our 3.5 year old!

Both of our children have attended GCC. Our 2yo is still there. We could not recommended it enough. I've been a Primary School teacher for 8 years and the amount of love, care and professionalism shown by the Educators there is second to none. It is an amazing feeling to drop your children off in the morning knowing that they are going to be given the best care as well as an amazing learning experience. The centre has always had an amazing family feel mixed with the professionalism of a school. The children receive a hot lunch each day that is so nutritious and delicious. The directors there are very hands on and are consistently thinking of the needs of the child. If you are lucky enough to land a spot here it is the best thing you'll ever do!

We have had both of our children with Gungahlin Children’s Centre from babies up to preschool and we couldn’t be happier. The directors and staff are professional and dedicated, and build genuine relationships with the parents and children. The centre is well-run, organised and the outdoor play area is lovely. We especially love the home-cooked hot lunches every day and the wonderful art and music program. We feel very fortunate that both our children have been so well cared for and nurtured at this centre.

GCC is great! When my first born was enrolled with GCC, I was worried because of his allergy issues and sleeping/eating problem. However, the educators at GCC were very attentive to his issues; they worked really well to accommodate his allergy issues (which he has grown out of, thankfully!) and they’ve also managed to make him feel comfortable enough to sleep and eat well in childcare! The rooms and facilities at GCC are great and very presentable; and I believe that their hygiene practices prevented bubs from falling sick more often than he should. Additionally, I love their extra activities which helped him to grow and learn essential experiences/skills, which is all documented in a cute scrapbook for your view at the end of the year! I’m hoping to secure a place for my second child at GCC for when he’s ready, as I know that GCC goes the extra mile to ensure your child is in good hands!

Our children have attended Gungahlin Children’s Centre from the babies room through to the preschool room. At every level, the directors and staff have been professional, welcoming and kind to us and our children. Every day the kids receive nutritional hot lunches, in addition to fruit and sandwiches - they eat better than we do! The kids are offered dedicated art and music programs and plenty of fun and educational activities. There is even plenty of parking available for pick-up and drop-off.I would highly recommend this centre to anyone in the Gungahlin and surrounding region.

We were lucky enough to be offered a spot at Gungahlin Children's Centre for our first born in March 2012. Six years and three kids later, we could not be happier with our experience with GCC. The Directors are delightful and have supported our family through every life stage. They are genuinely interested in us.The carers in each room are so kind and caring towards our children, but are stern when need be and they teach them to become more independent; manners towards others, and to pack up after themselves.The carers that cared for our eldest, are now caring for our youngest - the staff turnover is very low.The staff in the babies room are very accommodating to our little ones routine. Our kids have all been breastfed, which has never been a problem with giving them expressed milk to prepare, and he staff provide me with a comfortable space to feed when picking up.I don't know how they do it - my kids eat a hot cooked lunch full of vegetables. They do not do this at home!They make us feel like our kids are so special. Our kids have and are thriving at GCC. It's tough leaving your little ones all day so you have to work, but it's reassuring to know that they are loved, learning and having a blast.Could not recommend them highly enough.

We have been parents at Gungahlin Children's Centre over the last 7.5 years as both our daughter and son passed through the centre from the babies' room to the preschool room. We could not have asked for more from our childcare centre. The centre is well run, there is very little staff turnover, the centre is clean and the food is nutritious (and I am assured tasty!)Most importantly for our children, the education was wonderful and caring. There are specialist art and music teachers who, with the regular staff, helped instil curiosity and a love of learning in our children. Our children both loved their time at the centre - and they (and we) will miss it.

We have been SO impressed with the Gungahlin Children's Centre. Both our children have started this year and it is a joy to see how happy they are, we can see they are having wonderful days with incredible staff. The staff have been so supportive in welcoming our children and helping them feel settled and safe. Our toddler, who would cry from the moment he woke up all the way to his previous childcare now asks to see his 'boys and girls' all the time and he is running into the Centre with a big smile on his face. We couldn't be happier.

For well over 2.5 years now our son has enjoyed and developed with the Gungahlin Children’s Centre (GCC) team, he is happy and well cared for in a fun and loving environment. We would highly RECOMMEND the diverse and dynamic centre, with great open areas for babies, toddlers and junior play school kids. We would recommend this centre as a well-rounded care centre with a family focus. Loraine, Sam, Karen and other staff are very approachable, happy, helpful and friendly. We always feel comfortable discussing our needs with them and my son absolutely loves going to this day care.My son has made strong friendships with the other children and the staff. All the educators are supportive, nurturing and kind. We feel very fortunate that we have found this place for our son and we are confident that he is getting the best care and support in his early development stages. The outdoor area is great and the centre is in a handy location - very close to where we live (within the Gungahlin precinct).The staff takes keen interest in creating themes for kids to learn and encourage creativeness. They hygiene factor at GCC is superb, there is a variety of food that is offered and my son loves every meal. GCC also offers the services of a barber (reasonable charge).GCC has a friendly dedicated staff who spend time getting to know each child personally. All the children there react well to the staff and the lively surroundings. Also the kids have access to an endless supply of books, toys, puzzles, equipment and music. I have no hesitation in recommending GCC. The staff have been very supportive of me and helped me instil routines and are extremely accommodating to everyone's needs. Thank you team GCC!!!

Our children have attended Gungahlin Children's Centre for the last 3 years. From day one we have been impressed with the level of care for both our children. The educators have always gone above and beyond to settle the kids and we genuinely feel that they care for our children and want them to have an enjoyable day. I love that at pick up, they always have a little story to tell of something that has happened during the day. Both kids absolutely love the beautiful outdoor play areas and my son constantly talks about his music sessions with Liz. The educators and management constantly make the time to form the bonds with home and daycare . We love this centre and appreciate how happy they make our children on a daily basis.
