We only stayed for one night, but enjoyed our stay. The cottage is pretty rustic, but otherwise fairly clean. We managed to spot the platypus that lives in the dam behind the cottages. There are no supermarkets in town (other than a cafe), so bring your own groceries.

Nice quiet location, saw a platypus in the pond out back which was really nice. The room we had was a little on the old and tired side. I didn't have an issue with it but the other i was staying with did mention it. I'd prefer the price to stay low rather than a referb pushing the accommodation cost up. Book way in advance as there isn't much accommodation in the area.

Quaint. Close to popular down hill bike facility where the service is great. There aren't many places to stay between Strahan and Hobart (excluding Queenstown) but this is a nice one.

Accommodation was very spacious. We went during the low season so we were pretty much the only people staying there at that time. Due to that the restaurant was closed and check-in was automated. TV was modern and of good quality. The room had a washing machine and dryer inside which we could use for free. Good place to stay if you want to stop near Russel Falls or after visiting Gordon Dam.

Fantastic restaurant with lots of space and great food we ended up eating there twice in a row. It’s a lovely set up with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. A good variety of drinks and cold beer on tap. The food, which includes some traditional South African cuisine was delicious! The calamari steak was quite unique and so tender. Even the fries were awesome. The meat dishes were fantastic but the vegetarian lasagna was also tasty. Friendly and fast service. A great way to end big hiking days.

The rooms here are in a varying condition. Some are recently renovated and others need some work. What makes this an exceptional place to stay is the friendly hosts, nothing is too much of a hassle. They were thoughtful and friendly. Thinking of what the guests would need and offering them the services. The food in the restaurant was fantastic, quite a surprise to find such great food in such a remote location. Thanks for all you did for us over the weekend, it was greatly appreciated.I would highly recommend a stay here.

Nice accom. Very quiet & parking close outside. In a 2 bedroom cottage, main b/room huge as is bathroom with shower over a spa bath. Lots heating supplied. Furniture bit dated, had to clean crockery & cutlery B 4 use, only a small bar fridge, (in need of a full size fridge) as restaurant been closed so take supplies to cook your own meals, no shops nearby. Comfortable stay.
