Club Marine Boat Insurance

So far so good. I have only needed to contact Club Marine over the phone for a couple of minor policy enquiries. Each contact has been efficiently and quickly answered. Great phone service that gives me a good feeling.

Used to be a good company in the past. Unfortunately not many options for cruising insurance. Cheapest for jetskis but Expensive and difficult for cruising yachts, IMO they are risk averse when it comes to experienced yachties, go figure. They really dont want the business. I Cancelled a perfectly good yacht purchase because the insurance was prohibitive.

16 years paid premiums approx. $2700 pa, french production yacht.Had to submit survey. OK. It shows . Good boat. They then ask for more ridiculous info. Then say insurance declined, i rang to say there must be a mistake... They say i must now tell all Future insurance company's they declined.. l appealed to ask for a retraction and explanations, as it just ruined my credit rating..They refused.Got quotes from three others for approximately $2000.00 .Ensure you get quotes fromPantaenius, and topsail and Coast insurance.Never had a claim.Loyalty means nothing to them

I rang up and changed my address but the magazine still went to the old address. Just one more click on the keyboard and all would have been good. Next time maybe.

I like the easy to use online payment method that allows you to review current details and amend the insurance policy as required, however, I would like an option to pay sans the credit card, maybe BPAY, PayPal or direct debit. Thanks

The worst insurance company I've ever dealt with. Our boat trailer was stolen and club marine rejected the claim 2 months later. Stay away from these frauds.

Complete scam. Stay away. They will take your money - but should anything happen, they'll waste your time till you give up trying.

Submitting the claim was very easy, simple and efficient. Will hope the rest of the process runs as smoothly and repairs get done with minimum fuss.

Be very careful having any dealings with this company.Looks great on the outside, seems easy enough to deal with in terms of payments and premiums appear competitive.However when you have a claim you will find out that this company is not your friend and not who you want to be insured with.I have had 2 claims experiences now that have been disgraceful attempts to reduce their liability at my expense. I won’t be having these issues in the future as I will not be doing business with this inadequate company ever again.I gave them another shot after the first time thinking it was such a poor performance surely it was a once off, however they’ve proven me wrong and demonstrated that they cannot be trusted to cover your pride and joy.

After jumping through all the hoops that were required (condition reports, evaluations, build reports) I find out from my solicitor that the policy has so many clauses that your not actually covered for anything. And I’m now out of pocket 18k in damages with club marine claiming not their problem because they have a clause covering them. Looking into different insurance companies and they don’t have the clauses that club marine have. Be very careful who u choose to insure your pride and joy. Criminals
