I participated in a five day protecting the wetlands expedition in May. The staff were experts in the field and have been readily available to assist further after. The last two days of the expedition were a workshop to implement the skills learnt in our communities/schools/workplaces, this was very beneficial, motivating and inspiring also.

I attended the Great Barrier Reef Expedition as a land-based volunteer at Magnetic Island in July 2022 and it was a wonderful experience. The Earthwatch scientist and field staff were knowledgable, well organised, professional and experienced but importantly they were also very friendly, welcoming and inclusive. They made the expedition a wonderful, safe, educational experience for myself and the other volunteers. I really enjoyed spending time in a beautiful location while being part of a worthwhile and important cause.

Attended 2021 BushBlitz Teachlive at Fowlers Bay. Loved the chance to get some field experience and some ideas to bring back to school. Fantastic opportunity to spend time with scientists, researchers and Earthwatch staff (who were knowledgeable and very organised!).

I recently attended a five-day Earthwatch Teach-Live event in Cairns that was excellent. The program was run by MangroveWatch and supported by the Great Barrier Reef Foundation. Participants engaged in real-world science in the mangroves and salt marshes of the area and gained valuable skills and knowledge related to assessing the health of these important ecosystems. I'm hoping to take what I have learned back to my school and local community to develop a similar program.

The staff facilitating the recent Protecting Wetlands for the Future program were so entertaining, super knowledgable and skilled. It would be a real joy to go on another expedition with Earthwatch Australia.
