Regency on the Beach

It was a great couple of days in a studio apartment. Some of the other reviews on here made us a little apprehensive but we had a great experience and would certainly return. Very little interaction with reception but staff were chilled and friendly.The room was clean and the seaview view was awesome. The price for a room, especially during school holidays was great. It's a good location to walk along the beach or to the Burleigh national park walk.A quick 5 min ride on a Lime bike gets you to some really good restaurants in Burleigh. It was good to stay by the beach in a relaxed area of the coast yet close to food and entertainment.

Self contained units with everything from washing machine dryer filled equipment kitchen and room with a view!Pool sauna and spa and easy access to beachI really enjoyed my stay but would recommend bringing an extra blanket during the colder months as room only had one blanket and no spareOther than that everything else was amazing

Great location and views. Rooms and fittings a bit dated, but fair value for money and the views make up for it. But unfortunately management have no idea what customer service is nor integrity in their dealings.After staying several times I was told I could have a 20% discount for on going bookings as I stay there monthly for a week. 1 business day later after receiving the quotes in writing. I get an email from them saying that the manager no longer wants to honour this.His answer was simple- Busy time of the year.Which just proves how money hungry they are.To management please enjoy the good times whilst they last. Because soon, they will end. And you will be begging for regular customers and loyalty.

Positives: Great location, next to the surf club so if you want to have a couple of drinks and something to eat, you can for a short walk. There's a little coffee place there in the morning, it was lovely to stroll down grab a coffee and sit on the beach.Views were spectacular from room 605.They have a good TV set up with a chromecast for streaming.Parking was good. It was clean in general on all the things that count.Negatives: the room needs new curtains, has rusty lampshades, a dusty vent on the air-conditioning in the bathroom. The bathroom tiles were missing grout. Walls had marks that a quick spot clean would take care of. Greasy finger prints on a picture frame of all things. One sofa was super comfortable but the other lost its springs quite some time ago.We paid nearly $600 for 2 nights on off peak, for that price I would expect those types of things to be better.Enjoyed our stay but think the attention to detail falls short for the price and communication was not the best. Its not clear when you pay the deposit or the balance, check in is 2pm but the office is closed by 12 and there was more than one of us there confused as to what to do.

The lady at reception was lovely, then it all went down hill. We stayed in 507 with Ocean Views. The apartment was very very old, stained and ripped curtains, mold and dust everywhere. The ceiling had things growing off it in kitchen... carpets felt grubby under foot. Unfortunately we won't be back.

I love the swimming pool when it’s a hot day. The room is relaxing and quiet. And I love the Lounge rooms

Quirky small apartment suitable for our needs as we only used the place to sleep as we spent most of our time with family elsewhere. Good air conditioning, comfortable bed, adequate and clean kitchen and bathroom. As we were on the ground floor we could sit on nice chairs with table outside overlooking the oceanShort walk to the beach. The owner obviously cares about the place but lounge chair needs upgrading.

Great place to stay. There was only one club nearby. It was also affordable, unlike sea world resort. Perfect

Warning to service dog owners. Terrible management and would never book a stay again. Sent through service dog qualification during the week prior to booked stay. Called and confirmed the next day that they received it and our booking was good. The morning of our booked stay we we’re told we cannot stay there because of my hearing and guide assistant dog. Please not he can legally stay and cannot be refused access under govt law. I informed them of this and provided the govt phone number to call as fines can be imposed if refused access. Bear in mind they had during the week to contact us and we had made travel plans with our family. Spoke to the manager who told me “I don’t have time for this! I’m hello it’s your job and I’m a paying customer!!!! I was then phoned by them and told that body corp wanted to know what my reason was for needing an assistant dog. A breach of privacy if ever there was one and they should be up to date with the laws and right of those in the community that are legally allowed to stay with no questions that needs to be asked other than the correct documents being provided which they were. I was then asked by the receptionist that body corp wanted me to sign a conditions of stay which had specifics on it about me and my dog. They had no right so I refused as they had all I legally needed to provide. Then the receptionist said that I could stay there with my assistant dog but they would require a $200 cleaning bond. I requested a refund. Very stressful. Poor management and body corp. I have these things in email form and am awaiting a call from the govt department on Monday who deal with these matters as fines can be issued to those that refuse access or wrongly ask for personal information they are not entitled to. Our poor disabled, VETS, Mentally unwell and disabled and blind members of community that have to deal with this. Would not recommend the regency it ruined our travel plans and weekend.
