Town Central Motel

We booked a room and arrived at 5 pm but the office was abandoned and had a ‘no vacancies’ sign. Two different phone numbers were posted to get in touch with management, but no one answered our calls or texts and the voicemail boxes weren’t set up. We tried for an hour with no response, and management never returned to the office, despite a linen closet standing wide open. With no way to check in and access our room, we gave up and scrambled to get a room elsewhere. Some of the other guests were very nice and tried to help, but they also mentioned they had experienced problems with the absent office attendant. The office was supposed to be open until 8 pm. We gave up at 6 pm after an hour of effort. I wish we had booked a different motel to begin with, as doing so at the last minute was much more expensive.

Great motel in the middle of town close to everything !! Very clean rooms

My booking experience with Deb was warm and welcoming. The room, clean and attractive. Arriving late at night the clean white cotton bed sheets were perfect. Bathroom was tired but clean. I’d stay here again.

Lovely and clean. Very well maintained. Host is so nice and makes you very welcome. Central to everything. Everything works perfectly which you don't get in a lot of places.

I've stayed at this motel twice now. The rooms are very well presented, neat, clean and tidy. The bathroom is very convenient. I love the fact that you can lay in bed and watch TV. The biggest downfall for me though would be the kitchenette, it has everything you need except for a microwave which makes it hard to have dinner. The only way you can have dinner is to buy take away or eat out at a restaurant. Which some people can't afford.The price is the second cheapest in bairnsdale currently. The location is very handy as it's almost next door to Safeway but, I'd love to be able to buy a ready microwave meal from the supermarket, heat it up in a microwave in the motel room and, that's dinner sorted. This would have to be the only problem for me. I've heard some reviews of people going to the office to microwave something which sounds a bit out of the way, considering you pay good money for a comfortable room. Every other motel I've asked if they have a microwave and, they do. I'm just confused as to why town central motel is yet to have them in their motel rooms.

No worries. Not the fanciest motel in town I’m sure. But it’s clean and in a quiet location close to the centre of town as it says. Have stayed here a number of times.

The place is well maintained. Old but we'll looked after. Very clean. Central location close to maccas and woolies. Good value. Will stay again.
