Parents room is absolutely filthy and not hygenic at all. Seems like they haven’t cleaned the place since it opened.

We grew up reading books in the isles of this gorgeous library. It has been through so many changes since I was little but it still has the same feel, a safe comfortable space to take time out from everything, to read, learn and find out more about the happenings in your local community. It's so important that libraries like this one still continue to thrive as they are wonderful havens of knowledge and peace for many generations of children and families.

Beautifully appointed library but the docile staff allow it to be disruptive- people eating sushi and full meals and talking in loud voices.I am not referring to the very loud children (it is unfortunate that it is so open but it has good intergeation programs and I don’t begrudge the noise of children)If you go to the ‘quiet study area’ the wifi reception is patchyThe staff walk around but I have never seen even light intervention ( ‘could you take this to a group room?)The library is for all but there are so many being pushed out by disruptive groups

A ZERO star rating - terrible experienceI am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the appalling service that I received at Chatswood Library. The librarian on duty intentionally misled me and to the unstaffed counter at the other side of the building, causing me significant inconvenience and wasting my time. What is particularly alarming is that despite two staff librarians being present at the front counter, they failed to provide me with the service that I deserved which is only borrowing one book that can not be borrowed in their system. They seemed completely ignorant of my situation and lacked the basic communication skills required to handle a customer's needs. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and dignity, and this type of behavior is unacceptable and falls well below an acceptable standard of professionalism.I urge the management of Chatswood Library to take immediate and decisive action to ensure that their staff provides the level of service that their customers deserve, with respect and dignity. This experience has left me deeply disappointed, and I cannot recommend Chatswood Library to anyone based on this incident.I sincerely hope that the management of Chatswood Library takes my concerns seriously and implements the necessary measures to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. As a customer, I deserve a level of service that meets basic standards of professionalism and customer service, with the utmost respect and dignity.

An amazing place to study for students and it is like heaven for book readers. They have books on about every topic, and they also have services available for printing and photocopying. Staff is always friendly and helpful, a great place for kids to build a reading habit.

This library delivers space, a great selection of books, media, all of the community info you need and is in the heart of the Concourse in Chatswood. Much loved by me is the convenience of the new books shelves curated by the librarians and always great for a quick lunchtime browse and read.

Love the long shelves near the entrance lined with books from a diverse range of topics picked by staff, right next to a row of comfortable arm chairs - perfect for a long browse. A convenient, centrally located place to hang out in Chatswood while waiting for your loved ones to finish their shopping. The minus was people (the grown-ups, not children) treating the place like their living rooms - sprawling about, talking loudly and snacking. Zero sense of library etiquette.

Great Library in general, good space and design with plenty of seats which can get busy. However noticed it is really difficult to find charging stations or power points unless you are lucky enough to get a seat next to the walls. Power points in the middle of the large tables, underneath or on the floor should be installed like other library spaces. Also found it frustrating when trying to find a seat many people leave their belongings and leave for a long period of time reserving their spot while others aren't able to find a spot and HS students make it obnoxiously loud. Should be a sign on tables or walls to not leave space unattended with belongings to reserve spots for respect of others to find seats. In general an aesthetically pleasing library, just charging stations would improve it alot and a rule in place to not leave and reserve spots for a long time - as for HS students it's understandable and not a big fuss but would like to see staff just keep notice and inform students to just keep it down a notch, I understand it's a public space and some conversational noise is tolerable but not to an extent where students make the library just a hangout and be loud irrespective of the environment

Great library, having a lot of various types of books, spacious space for study and reading. There is a zone for childrenHowever, due to covid19, their opening is irregular. You must check trading hours before a visit.

Conveniently located near plenty of food options and located underground with a pond in the middle, which makes for a fairly unique environment. Finding a spot isn't too challenging, though getting a seat by the pond will be harder.
