Do your research. IDH Custom Builders do NOT have their own tradespeople. We also had a few negative experiences. Upon handing over $2k for preliminary drawings and viewing of a contract, their demeanour changed from friendly to that of bullying. We departed (less $2k, but all the wiser) and instead built with a company that has an excellent known track record.

This was the third house we have built but the first using Glenden Homes as our builder. This was by far the easiest build and the best finish we have ever had. We now have our forever home. Thanks.

Choosing to build with I.D.H Custom Builders / ID Homes has honestly been one ofthe best decisions we have ever made. The process of designing our home wasan enjoyable experience and the end result is a home that caters exactly toour needs with that extra WOW factor that I.D.H excels at delivering.The communication from day one was second to none. Our Builder and SiteSupervisor were never too busy to answer our questions or concerns and wouldgo above and beyond to help us in anyway possible - this made our buildingexperience far less stressful than we ever imagined.Living next door to our build we were able to watch the whole process veryclosely. Every tradesman that came on site not only delivered qualityworkmanship but was also extremely professional and courteous.We are so unbelievably happy with our new home and the standard it has beenbuilt to. I.D.H Custom Builder's eye for detail and the delivery ofperfection is why we highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to builda new home.

If you want a high quality build at a fair and sensible price we reccomend Glen Bobbermien - we got exactly what we asked for and expected - and in the nearly 2 years since we moved in we have not had to call them back for anything except something we busted which was happily fixed for us! The workmanship of all the tradies used was very good, with a special shout-out to Tim the sparky (Prompt Power Electrical) Cam West the painter (C West Painting) and Bruce Strowe the Cabinetmaker, now trading as Ipswich District Cabinets Pty Ltd. There was a couple of hiccups along the way but thats normal for a building project and these were all sorted to our satisfaction. If we had to build again we wouldnt hesitate to use Glen.

Highly recommend going to IDH for anyone hoping to design and build a dream home that works for them. My wife and I had an exceptional experience working with Rod Ballard at Rochedale.My wife and I were looking at a block with difficult dimensions to build. While looking for a conventional builders design that might just fit at Rochedale we met with Rod Ballard at IDH.Rod was so professional and experienced, and he told us things about our specific block that we had wanted answers with, and things we didn't even consider. He helped explain to us the setback requirements for our corner block, the side and back setbacks, height requirements and how the awning came into this. He also explained to us about position the house, rooms, and windows for the best use of the outlook of the block - something the none of the 'off the plan' consultants mentioned, or their layouts could achieve.My wife and I were on a budget, and Rod was able to tailor the design of the home to make most effective use of the space with this in mind. Rod showed us, and designed, things we didn't realize impacted the cost, such as vertically stacked wet spaces (bathrooms above each other on different floors) as well as houses being double story, but not over the garage because of the extra support costs.We met with Rod twice to discuss alterations to the layout of them home that meant we were able to design something my wife and I could live in now, and grow into in the future. With a downstairs bedroom and full bathroom that our parents could use, if need be.An off the plan build is a good option. You get a lovely modern home and it can be cost effective at the low end, you can get a good design with average modern finishes, but if you start to customize or request better finishes, the value diminished in my opinion.On our modest budget, my wife and I were able to design a home with Rod that had all the layout features of a much more expensive home; a scullery, walk in pantry, multiple en-suites and walk in robes, all within a floor plan that made the most use of our unique block and outlook.If you plan to build for the long term, its surely a wise choice to make the layout and outlook of your house, something that can't be easily changed or increased down the track, your top priority. My wife and I also felt that, at our price point, the finishes shown at the IDH display home were excellent, without being excessive, and far more in tune with what we would want to live with long term - as opposed to some of the garish furnishing the off the plan builders put in their top of the range spec'd (and out priced) display homes.

IDH Homes, now Glenden Homes, built us a high quality bespoke home to our specifications. Roy's house design and Tracie's expert advice on interior fit-out made the process easy. They were very accommodating on upgrades and us supplying some appliances. The contractors were excellent especially the electrician, tiler and cabinetmaker. Builder Glen kept us updated and was very responsive to our requests. We could not be happier with our new home and highly recommend Glenden Homes.

We cannot recommend Glen and his team highly enough. We’ve built through big name builders before and have had good experiences, but this experience was brilliant. We enjoyed amazing relationships with all the tradies who were accommodating and fun to work with, and allowed us to feel like we were part of the team. We were able to make changes as we went which enabled us to take advantage of the project and the site as it unfolded. The workmanship is exemplary and should we build again, we will use Glendon Homes. Thank you to everyone who made this a great experience for us. Nat and Den Hanily
