Woods Auto Electrics & Air Conditioning

I'd take the positive/glowing reviews with a grain of salt. Especially those that say they dropped in and someone looked or repaired their issue straight away.I'm from Canberra on holidays and my A/C stopped working, was recommended by locals to try them. After seeing their reviews about someone going the extra mile and they were stopping over before a long trip, I thought I'd give them a go to see if they could have a quick check to see what was wrong and if i needed to order a part i could and book in for a repair.After explaining I was from Canberra and my A/C had stopped working, I was told no one could look at it and if I wanted to book in next week for someone to check it. Next week? ok given I'm on holiday and its bloody hot up here, whatever, I leave the region next week and it would be a waste of money if they needed to order a part. I need the A/C for my trip home.so I presume the glowing reviews are most likely from friends or family to build up the business, or from people that had a certain look that the shop wanted to help on the day.Interstate or travellers in general, you might be lucky and get them on a day where they want to help out people far away from their homes, but I think those reviews are fake. In my opinion, give this business a wide berth, there are other places in the area that will accommodate someone having a quick look to determine if it's a quick fix or if you need a part. They seem to have a lot of local business so ask yourself, why would they want to take time out to help stranded visitors? Veterans please steer clear of this business, spend your hard earned elsewhere.UPDATE: the local auto electrician from another business I found to look at my A/C took about 7 minutes to check my car to understand what was wrong. It was a loose connection and he cleaned it up and reattached and i have A/C again. Once all paid, it was like 25 mins all up out of his very full schedule, but he helped me out knowing I was interstate. Veterans/Travellers, please avoid Woods Auto Electrics, they don't seem to be interested in helping stranded people.

Lifesavers! Adam was willing to take us in despite a full book to help us stay on the road when our caravan brake lights stopped working. Very professional, conducted a few quick tests to isolate the issue replaced the dodgy part and had us on the road in half an hour. Price was great as well. I highly recommend these people!

After trying an Innisfail business then a Babinda business to get some airconditioning hoses made. I went to Woods. Fantastic service, spent the time to go through what I needed done. Had them made up in a week. If you need electrical or air-conditioning work done. I definitely recommend giving Woods a call.

Needed some fairly urgent work done to car and camper van as we were travelling to NT. Office staff were so obliging, the guys in the workshop were fantastic, and the overall service was amazing. Cannot recommend highly enough. Some of the best customer service I have ever received. Cost very, very reasonable. Thanks for your work team. Awesome job.

Needed a bulb changed before a big trip needed extra work done but they took the time out to get it done ASAP great service price and the receptionist was also very helpful.

Turned up at 3.30 on a Friday afternoon with headlight issues. Was seen to by a young bloke who replaced the globes. He was awesome. Highly recommended.
