A lovely place to hike. Unfortunately the area has been lacking rain of late so it's been extremely dry. Nevertheless, winter rains are on their way and the landscape will look much greener in 3 months time. I never get tired of the scenery regardless of the weather.

Quick way up to Newman Nursery ruins.Then come back on a different track.Birdlife,koalas and a pleasant walk.

An amazing walk on a cold, wet, winters day. Plenty of frogs rebitting, low cloud making the scenery mystical. The Ruins walk would have to be one of our favourite.

My daughter and i could only spare an hour or so with one baby in a pram, a toddler and a young kelpie.But one soon loses sight of the car park and quickly loses oneself in the fresh country air, surrounded by trees and ferns and grasses exploring the climbing pathway alongside a bubbling brook.The dog was in heaven. We could have spent much much longer here.

A fantastic place to walk and take in the beautiful surroundings.You would struggle to think that your 30 minutes from the Adelaide CBD.Plenty of native animals and there are a variety of tracks to suit everybody's needs, all of which are sign posted.

We decided to check out the Newman Nursery Ruins walk during the school holidays. Start off easy" was our plan.We met at gate 6 Perseverance Road at 10am with grandkids in tow. The 1.6km treck was not as difficult as i thought it would be. The kids absolutely loved it and were always at least 30mtr ahead of us "oldies". On almost reaching the ruins the kids found a huge thick canopied tree and walked through a cut out in it to find a clear area right around the trunk

Around 8 spaces in a dedicated sealed carpark at the start of the trail (with information signage), or if the parking spaces are full there is small laneway alongside the road where there is usually ample parking alognside the trees.

The variety of birds, plants, amazing. Different walks all levels, cannot say beginners as the area is hilly and the walks, even though there are no stairs are quite steep. The serenity and views , peaceful.

Walked the Yellow-Tail track for the first time. Started at gate 6. A good upwards walk for the start, which was probably the hardest part of the walk. Always good to get the hard part out of the way first. Then became a very good walk on well maintained tracks, with great scenery as a bonus. One more steep part, but not as long as at the start, about 2/3 of the way through.Didn't like the steepish decent about 1 km from the end; it was partly paved and just didn't give a comfortable grip.Overall, a very enjoyable walk in a beautiful park.

Gully filled with Arum Lillies in September and water running freely. Makes for nice walk in early spring but can imagine not as pretty in middle of summer. Either way, it's the quickest track to the Ruins which are lovely to check out any time of the year.
