We loved their flexibility and how easy it was to work with the team. Ivan Butler Funerals has looked after my family on a number of occasions now. It's staff are caring and knowledgeable and they go the extra mile to look after you. They are one of few family owned funeral homes left in Adelaide and they don't treat your loved ones like they are on an assembly line. Don't choose a funeral home that is owned by an investment bank, go with one that actually cares and adds the personal touch.

Service and celebrant were lovely, however the funeral director was extremely rude. She completely ignored my mother (the mother of the deceased) from the beginning, turning her back to my mother at the very first meeting, and only focused her attention on my sister’s partner. The same thing happened at the service, Karina gave all her attention and directed all her comments to the partner, who was not the only one grieving. At the end when the immediate family were ushered into the lounge my mother beckoned me to follow, Karina asked if I was immediate family. I said “yes I am a sister”. She very rudely and sarcastically said “WHOSE sister?” I stated I was Jenny’s sister. She then shut the door to the lounge and told myself and my two nieces that we would have to go outside. Karina has irreversably created bad memories of this day which was hard enough for us all. My mother has used Ivan Butler Funerals twice before and recommended them this time only to be treated like she did not matter by this Karina.

The team at Ivan Butler Funerals are amazing. From first contact to final paperwork, they are professional at all times, caring, respectful, and made the difficult process of saying goodbye to our loved one as easy as possible. Thank you for caring about us and our loved one.

My experience with Michael Butler in arranging my Father's funeral was a better than I expected. Michael was sensitive to the occasion and did all that he could to ensure that the process and ceremony were as 'Dad' had wished. Ivan Butler Funerals have been with our family through our worst times. It started in 1977 with the very unexpected death of both my brother and his beautiful new wife aged 21 and 18 in a car accident. Since then, my father and mother, my niece and Today my sister-in-law. Would your family stick with an organisation for so long if they weren't perfect in everyway. 100 stars from my family to yours.I only posted this within the last hour but left out of hardest and probably most difficult funeral they arranged. That of my beloved OMA or grandma in English.....She moved to Adelaide to die with us here in S.A. only to have to a very complex funeral ,moving between states and out to the sticks (not STIX) to be buried next to her her husband.These guys can do anything......except get their hands on me......I'm going to the RAH MED SCHOOL.

My parents had dealt with Ivan Butler Funerals in the past and had organized to employ their services for their own farewells, when the time came. Sadly the time came.The manager Geoff Lewis, did everything he could to make sure my father’s farewell was flawless. Though afflicted by grief, it was indeed a beautiful occasion. All the things stated in the other reviews are accurate. I was so impressed I just had to write a review & award 5 Gold Stars.I highly recommend Ivan Butler to anyone, their service was impeccable. Geoff did everything he could to make us feel at ease, he ensured everything behind the scenes was running smoothly.This allowed us to focus on our own wellbeing, for which we were most grateful.

Mum had prearranged and paid for her service with Ivan Butler Funerals many years prior, which we were very grateful for as it made the experience much easier on us, knowing that I'll we didnt have to guess at what she would want. The staff were outstanding, after our first visit we all came away confident every detail would be taken care of - we were in good hands.
