In my opinion I don't believe the water is clean,I did not go in , saying that there are a large number of people who would disagree with a great spot to camp but would not like to be here when it rains

Great bath. t water was more than 37°C. It wasn't crowded. Plenty of parking. There are toilets and a shower, BBQ, and tables. Very quiet. The road from Baradine has an unsealed part ( 28km), be careful.

Unfortunately we were spoilt by visiting the Artesian hot baths in Mitchell Qld. The facilities need to be checked and cleaned on a more regular basis. The pool warm to hot. As a stress reliever it works. Ease the aches and pains...tick

Great little spot to stop and relax for a few hours or a few days. As with any such facility, I felt there were a few positives and a few negatives:- The camping areas were almost full, (I wonder if anybody checks whether fees have been paid!) and there were no suitable spots to pitch a tent. Most of the grassed areas were waterlogged or flooded, and the rest of the area that was taken up by motorhomes & caravans was a rocky/gravel surface that you couldn't get your tent pegs down into even with a hammer.- The pool itself is a weird design with nowhere to sit comfortably except the steps, and sitting there is obviously inconvenient and discourteous to others. The sides of the pool angle up from the bottom rather than having a bench seat type arrangement, so if you try to stay around the edges you just slide down.- It's a free facility and I don't mind so much, but it could do with a clean to get rid of the algae/moss.- Most of the demographic here were friendly as you'd expect, however there were some ferals who turned up looking for trouble when I was there. Not sure if these were locals, or just idiots trying to hide from something in the middle of nowhere, but they were confrontational and left a mess around the picnic tables.+ Great to have a couple of free electric BBQs, picnic tables and rubbish bins. These were under lights with accessible switches so you can turn them off once you're finished.+ Basic toilets and a shower.+ Whilst perhaps 1 or 2 degrees cooler than I personally like, the water was a pleasant warm temperature.+ Firewood available for purchase, from memory it was $20 for a wheelbarrow load.

Tiny bore bath and the pictures misrepresent the size. It has been completely taken over by Grey Nomads from the adjacent camp ground where people are camping for their 21 day maximum which basically monopolises the pool for those staying there and people travelling specifically to visit the place for a day can't possibly get in.

We like the seclusion, nice bush walks.Great artesian pool.Could do with power outlets. And more wet weather caravan spots.Worth the visit.
