(PHOTOS ATTACHED) I would NEVER visit here. It was a shocking experience at the Cellar's at Hunter Valley. The quality of the food, service of the staff and overall experience was beyond disappointing, awful and horrifying. The food portion was tiny and inedible. The penne pasta came with 30 lots of pastas with three scallops which was overcooked, salty and lacking flavour. The chips were overpriced of $12 with hardly any texture and sauce. The chicken was below average with overpowering saltiness. The beef quesadilla was the only dish that can be considered decent but nowhere near its price point. The dreadful highlight was the pork ribs that came with bare bones with no meat attached to it with seemingly obvious bites (LOOK AT THE PHOTO). When questioned about the quality, the restaurant staff got very defensive and told me to 'calm down, let's not make this big.' After my inquiry, the ribs came out again with a better quality of more meat and extra rib - which makes me even question their initial intention more of providing us with the dish in first place. We felt like we were fooled and served a dish of leftovers.Please look at the photo attached. I felt disrespected, belittled and devalued as a customer. Therefore, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone if you value your time and money. I feel so ashamed that my most anticipated weekend getaway has ended with the most disappointing experience and choice. (AGAIN SEE THE PHOTOS)I wish there were negative star points as even one star would be too generous for this restaurant. It was even more shocking when they asked for tips at the end. My supposed lovely Easter trip ended with heinous memory.

First of all, the staff is trying their best. Very engaged, nice and hardworking.Tired place and in a desperate need of renovations. Not clean at all. Food is not tasty borderline bad. It can be filling, and if hungry, it's ok.

We booked the restaurant for a wedding lunch and all guests loved it.We are locals and shortlisted this restaurant after trialling many others in the valley. You will not get disappointed: the quality and attention to detail are in every plate they serve. 5/5 hands down.Thank you Vanessa and their for providing such a beautiful experience to us and our guests

2023.. Update. We're back, and again, this place exceeded our previous experience, which was amazing. This time, we tried the lamb shoulder for 2. It was to be the best lamb I've ever eaten. It was more than enough for two people. Tender, juicy, and so succulent. We might just come back tomorrow for another one. This is the Hunter Vallet best kept secret but not any more. The pictures don't do it justice.Again, the staff were amazing, warm, friendly, and very helpful.2021.. What a wonderful place for dinner. We were warmly greeted by the staff and seated immediately. They were very polite and friendly. Took our orders quickly, and the meals arrived pretty quickly.Our steaks were perfect and very delicious. Even our kids' meals are fresh and full of flavour and even come with free dessert. We were extremely happy with the whole experience. Thank you to everyone at the Cellar Restaurant.

Went here for brunch with my partner.Customer service was good. Staff were friendly and attentive.Unfortunately where this review falls short is the quality of food. I ordered the grilled prawns which was $25. It came came with 5pc of prawns and 1/2cup of brown rice. Flavour was very basic and bland. The flavour was not memorable at all. It didn't even has a side of greens for balance.My partner ordered the chicken and waffles for $24. It wasn't too bad just a bit salty.orange juice and pineapple juice were $7.50 a glass, for that price it should at least be a freshly squeezed juice. Not the juice from the bottle.However, Coffee was excellent. Creamy & perfectly brewed. Thank you barista :)

Such a knowledgeable lovely lady who looked after us. Love the internal restaurant with fireplace in middle would love to go back at night when this is working.Anyway we asked how big are the meals given it was lunch. Interesting concept they bring the food out and put it in the middle for the guest to graze. So we picked 2 mains, a bowl of the hand made chips delicious by the way and foccaci bread. All in the middle of the table - we could not eat it all. We did takeaway for dessert.Great service great food only issue i had was the price of non alcoholic drinks a bit pricey for the size but again the Lemon Lime and Bitters were to die for

Was suggested this restaurant by chance by a Hunter Valley local, and was not disappointed! They accommodated our big group of 13 with ease, and we were seated in a lovely area with a refreshing water mist nearby to cool us down (it was a mid-summer night!) . Picturesque entrance, lovely ambience, attentive staff and service, absolutely delicious and beautifully plated food, quick service, nice wine selections featuring lots of local Hunter wines.
