About the Business
Thallon Silo Art | The GrainCorp Silos at Thallon in Queensland were painted by The Zookeeper & Drapl in July 2017. Titled ‘The Watering Hole’ It features the Moonie River, an amazing Thallon sunset and the area’s agricultural base. It also recognises members of Thallon’s indigenous community by the inclusion of a scarred tree.

Made a detour to see the silos. Very disappointed with the view. Shame the grain company had to put a huge pile of grain in front of them. What we could see of the paintings they look great. I'll have to get some pics from their website.

Such beautiful artwork. I was very sad though when I saw this big pile of something under a tarp. It spoils the whole awesomeness. I do understand, this was probably unavoidable, but yes, well there were expectations.Nonetheless, the art work is incredible.

The pictures are amazing it is just very disappointing that you can't get closer like the Yelbaron ones. Ideally you need a camera with a zoom lense.

Nice. Sadly you can t get too close and there is a pile of grain in front. But still nice later in the afternoon.

One of the nicer painted silos. There is camping next door with facilities but it looked quite crowded and cramped. Nice friendly town.

Day trip from Goondiwindi 4 h round trip, well worth it,Several ways to Thallon, keep in mind the shortest distance requires 23km unsealed road.

Nice little free camp. Excellent meals at Thallon pub. Great value and a bit of canine entertainment thrown in.
