None of the promises were kept at all, lied multiple times during the work, when caught just tried to blame others and then lied after the job is complete again multiple times and then when the payment is sent and update required, never returned to jobsite not even answered calls or messages. Used customer supplied items,material etc. for their own stuff. Terrible quality/result which left us needing to waste a lot more time and money than needed to finish the design and project. Worst experience ever!!!

We got the slab poured in January 2022 and have been waiting for the mistakes to be fixed since then.Jacob stated and scheduled to come three times by text but sadly no one showed up.1-Slab form bent during concrete pouring and formed a terrible bubble and looks extremely wonky. Jacob stated he would grind it level" after the first inspection.2-Large chunks missing from the corners

Jacob Hudson, the owner of Hudson Concreting Services, finally came out and addressed our concerns about the patchy finish of the colour surfaced concreting he did back in December 2019.I’m convinced that the very negative review (& photos) we posted on Google Reviews was instrumental in this action because all action before this failed.Although we are thankful that it was addressed patchiness (by colour sealing) there were other aspects of the finish that weren’t what we expected (striped finish and varying surface sheen). Refer photos. We expected a uniform finish. They never came back to finish sealing.

Jacob and the team were lovely to deal with for the concreting job of our pool surrounds and retaining walls / garden beds in December 2021/January 2022. The team were prompt and hard working, staying until all hours to get the job done, and cleaning up after themselves as well.The whole experience though has been let down with the finishing touches not being resolved.We’ve been left with uneven garden beds / retaining walls, rough finishes in some places and after trying to follow this up countless times with commitments to it being fixed, we’ve just accepted that this is how it will stay unless we have someone different come out to fix up the end result.

Jacob was fantastic from start to finish, quick quote and very competitive. The job was done on time in a perfect workmanship. Will definitely use them again and recommend to everyone.Update: second job took about six weeks longer than promised, while a modification in the first job was left incomplete and extremely over priced. Promised to turn up and finish the job about six times but never came back. I believe he's getting too busy and doesn't care anymore. Bottom line is if you've used him before and were lucky, don't use him again as you'll probably be very disappointed.

We used Hudson Concreting to lay a new driveway and concrete in our backyard. We trusted them to do a great job, and paid half upfront. We ended up with subpar work, but worse, the job was incomplete. To this day, and many months later, we still have a square metre of driveway that hasn't been concreted at all, after we paid the final amount. That was our mistake - we trusted them. And, for that trust, they cut and run without finishing the job. After repeated calls and emails, all we received were lies from the owner - Jacob Hudson - who kept saying he'd come back to finish the job. He promised us he would. But, still not finished. Hence the one star review. It's a shame I can't choose zero stars, because in the end, that's what the job was worth. Without doubt, the worst experience in dealing with a contractor. We STRONGLY recommend you steer clear of these guys. Use at your own peril.UPDATE: 06/01/2021Jacob, as requested, I emailed you two days ago and received no response. As other reviewers have noticed, it’s amazing that it takes a poor review on Google to get you to reply.As we didn’t hear from you after abandoning our job, we contacted Fair Trading who advised that Hudson Concreting is not licensed for residential work, and as a result they could not compel you to complete the job. However YOU are licensed, Jacob, and after repeated attempts by Fair Trading to contact you, this matter has now been escalated to the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal where we’ve been asked to get at least three quotes. The feedback on your shoddy work was that the driveway clearly dips where you ran out of concrete.We have not pursued with NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal as we’ve been time poor, but we’re now picking up where we left off, and I write this review now so others know how dodgy your business is.In response to your message; you have not tried to “reach out to me many times to resolve the issue” Jacob, and I have not blocked your number. Why would I? How does that even make sense? You’re the one who’s been ignoring us, not vice versa. See attached photos as proof. If you had called, why didn’t you leave a message?If you “took issues like this seriously” then I’m sure the job would have been completed a year ago.You don’t need council documents from us. We didn’t need council permission. I have no idea what you’re talking about. Perhaps you’re using this as an excuse, but it’s more likely that you’ve forgotten who we are, and have us confused with another disgruntled customer - perhaps one who has blocked you from calling them. Do you even remember us?Attached to this review are a number of pictures to prove not only your poor service, but also the poor job you delivered.There’s a picture of the abandoned job (as of now, it’s still incomplete). You’ll also see a number of screenshots asking for updates on completion dates. The dates and times of these messages are clear. I’ve highlighted one from the 4th of May 2020 where you “gave us your word” that you would complete the job.If the abandonment of our project isn’t enough to convince prospective customers to avoid you, I’m sure being an unregistered business will.For those of you here looking at reviews, I truly hope this has helped you; I’d hate to think anyone else goes through what we have.Now onto Facebook, Instagram, HiPages and any other advertising medium you use, as people need to know about your business practices.Jacob, we tried to speak with you. We even paid you upfront because we trusted that you were a fair dinkum bloke and you’d complete the work, but instead you took advantage of us. Shame on you.

This company is absolutely the best! I did want him to so something different and Jacon explained to me absolutely everything.. step by step og the possibility in making my garden. The driveway was very perfect! They were so quick and clean! I will def use then all the time!!! I highly recommend this company!!!Thank you so much Jacob and the team!! You guys are legend!!

It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Jacob and his team. The job we had was quite complex, required liaison with RMS, traffic control and numerous inspections. Jacob made the whole process very easy for me and took care of absolutely everything from beginning to end. The project was completed quickly and to the highest standards. Fantastic team! Would definitely use them again and highly recommend!

I hired, Jacob Hudson a few years ago to do concrete work, he was hardworking and friendly. I know he had some issues back then and did not finish my job but the good thing is that after a few years he agreed to compensate fully when I approached him just recently. He took time listening to my complaint, acknowledged my complaint and gave me a few options to chose from which is very nice of him.Thanks Jacob and I am looking forward to have the resolution completed as we both agreed.Good on you mate and best of luck for your future.Note for people leaving negative feedback, I totally understand the pain you might be going through, please give Jacob a chance to discuss the issue as he did with me and I am pretty sure he will do anything to resolve your concerns.Update 01/06/2021Tried to call Jacob a few times to make sure if the funds were reimbursed, but I guess Jacob is a busy man and did not have time to reimburse or respond back to my calls and messages for almost 2 months when I last spoke to him and we agreed he will pay me back in to my nominated account.Finally he took my call this morning and recognized me and again assured me that the funds will be reimbursed soon. I offered him to make small payments if paying back the whole amount in one transaction is an issue, Jacob again being friendly and said sure he will make a transfer soon.Update 20/07/2021Until this morning, no refund was issued by Hudson, he is not taking my calls either, rejected my call with auto message to text him and no response received when I asked for the status of my refund, probably he is not interested in returning my money.Update 27/07/2021Thanks for the response to my concerns, but I still yet to get my money back as Mr Hudson acknowledged of the discrepancy by him and promised to refund in his next pay run which was communicated to me through his cell +61 401 333 128 on Tuesday the 16 March 2021 at 12.10pm. I am happy to share the further evidence here if you like.Regards
