Wangaratta Caravan Park

3 of us booked in for a weekend for the Off Grid Living Festival. It was wonderful. Cosy? Yes. Quiet? Yes. Suitable? Perfect. Inexpensive overall amounting to $50 per night per person, it gave us sleeping quarters, cooking facilities and a bathroom. Great value.

Nice park, Really good friendly service from the owners. Good location close to the Centre of town. Heated swimming pool, just the right temperature. Clean amenities close by. Nice to wake up and view the cows and horse's next door☺️

Located outside of Wangaratta on the main strip as you head north. The rooms are small and, well small. Ours smelt of cigarettes despite the cleaning. When we arrived the reception was not staffed. The phone number was called twice but no answer. The receptionist was nice enough. Not sure I would be back considering the price and this is off season!EDIT:. The airconditioning was left on heating and on Fahrenheit!

This caravan park is one of the best I have ever stayed. Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash. They have a fenced area for your dog to have a play off the leash. The pool would have been great if it wasn't so cold. You are close to everything Wangaratta offers. Definitely worth a visit.

Staff here are magnificent nothing any trouble for them very helpful park guests r friendly very nice rooms got what u need

I loved the small cozy cabin and it was perfect for one or couple of nights for a family. However, it was dated and a bit dusty, and also I believe there was as one damage from the moisture in the bathroom based on the smell. Still, I would definitely stay again a night or two!

It was a wonderful experience and we highly appreciate your friendly and cooperative attitude towards the guests, very well maintained, very clean, and a good play space for kids, thanks a lot

ReviewIf only I could give this caravan park and the male owner a minus rating, I would.We drove almost three hours from Melbourne and arrived at the park by 7:30 am although we had paid for the previous night as well, due to some commitment, we couldn’t make it. I had let the caravan park know about this in advance so they knew to expect us the following morning.When we arrived, we met the male owner riding a bike, he approached me and started asking why I was ringing the bell at the office and disturbing his children/family while they were asleep. He spoke rudely and said he decided who could enter his park. Absolutely disgusting!! It was not like we were going into the park without paying a deposit or expected to get free treatment.I wonder whether he even understands anything about “customer service” and how guests must be treated. He definitely requires a crash course in running a good business.Anyway, he also started threatening us saying he’d call the police at which stage we told him, we’d do the honours. When the police arrived, we explained the whole situation to the police and told them this man would not even refund our payment.They spoke with him and confirmed back that he was indeed a rude and standoffish person and apologised to us that we’d had such a bad experience of our first trip to Wangaratta. They suggested a few other places for us to stay over the long weekend after which we made several phone calls to find a site so we could save ourselves another three hours driving back home.Fortunately, we secured a site right down the road at the Painters Island Caravan Park, due to a last minute cancellation, which was heaven, a must stay park for anyone visiting Wangaratta.Please save your money and self respect and never ever stay at this God forsaken place at least till the time this male owner is present here.

Great family campsite and caravan park. Stayed in 2 bedroom cabin, clean plenty of room comfy bed and extra covers and pillows if needed quiet site overlooking fields. Definitely stay again.

It was lovely clean and tidy and the attendants were very polite and obliging
