We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Samberos. Food was well prepared and delicious. Do not miss dessert. The cinnamon crisps were the best thing I have eaten in ages. Sweet sweet heaven. The staff were friendly. Service was fast. The booths were comfortable and some families with younger kids enjoyed it too. Prices were very reasonable. Highest recommendation

If like me you are a lover of Mexican food then a meal at Sambreros Tex-Mex Cantina in Cowes is an absolute must. I was at first hesitant about trying them because I had an unhappy experience with the Mexican food at the previously run restaurant at the same establishment. But much to my surprise the new management under the new name truly know what they're doing. The produce is fresh and the servings are large. The burritos, the enchiladas, the nachos... control becomes almost impossible since they are all amazing. If you can't make up your mind choose a plate of Nachos for opener and La Combinacion for mains. Book a visit soon.

Our experience was below average! Really expensive for what you get - My friend ordered a fajita and it was made from frozen vegetables for $30. And there was a fly on my tacos! The salsa was the only thing that was good.

Great quality food. Very friendly staff. Good vegan options. Nice Family atmosphere. The Prawn poppers have a nice little spicy kick to them and the the portions are great value for money.

I have eaten a lot of different Mexican food and this place is right up there with the best.Like always I have given a 4 star based on how much of the food was eaten .that only unexpected thing is the meat in the fajita had a little bit of spice witch was good for me but not for the person that ordered it.All in all worth going for sure

It’s disappointing that this restaurant is all the way in Phillip Island as we would go more often if we could. Recently returned from Mexico, we have been on the hunt to try find the closest restaurant that served authentic Mexican. This place blew our expectations, we were so happy. | From the tortilla chips and dip served as you look at the menu, to the Chef’s unique taste of mole with the beef, served with the tortillas warm on a seperate plate. | Then the dessert.. So Simple but amazingly tasty. When we ordered the waitress made us thought the dessert was small as we were sharing but it is the perfect size to share between two or even three. | We left the night with very full stomaches. We were lucky to get a seat as we arrived just after opening, service was good and the food came out pretty quickly. I’d suggest you book a seat if you can as you wouldn’t want to miss this food.

Had dinnner tonight for a friends birthday. Ash was a lovely server, very patient with us and our 50 customisations and managed to get our order perfectly right. Wonderful atmosphere and a fantastic server would 100% eat here again!!!
