I stopped for a gourmet pie. Two pies for over $15 was ok if it was gourmet but it was not. The meat was tough, chewy and full of unappetizing gristle. Probably the worst pie I have had. Very disappointing.

Why do people pay a fortune to buy a business and the instantly make it better" by changing it. If you want 5 stars make what was made when you bought the business especially chiabarta rolls and loaves as they were made when you purchased Crust. Currently nothing of interest to me to buy."

Thought I’d spend my Saturday afternoon at the Fyshwick markets - and why not treat myself to their famous sausage roll!Unfortunately it did not live up to the hype, the pastry was so oily the paper bag was clear, and the filling tasted like Costco 1 star mince on special.

Sausage roll was a big let down ☹️ Unfortunately the pastry was so oily and the filling of I'm assuming breadcrumbs/flour had no taste. I would expect more for the high price you charge.

A wonderful bakery in the middle of the markets for your everyday grocery run. We got the ham & cheese croissant and the blueberry Danish.The croissant was deliciously savoury with a crumbed parmesan top. Consisting of mostly cheese with a couple slices of ham, it's definitely a cheese lover's dream croissant.The blueberry Danish was sweet and custardy with a delightfully flaky pastry.Would recommend going! They might be quite busy due to market goers, but I'd say it's worth it.

The original boysenberry custard danish at Crust was a world class pastry. Perfect balance of crispy pastry, creamy custard and slightly tart berries. A Saturday treat. When I lived abroad it was the one thing I missed more than anything else from Canberra. A year or two back the shape changed from square to kind of bowtie-like, with too much pastry on the ends. All the proportions and balance have been lost. From Mona Lisa to Picasso. I still eat her, while pining for my lost love. #bringbackthesquare.

Stopped by early morning to get fresh plain croissants, chocolate croissants and almond croissants. They were all tasty, generous in size and weight. The fluffy, multi-layers were there.The almond croissants are gigantic and heavy (215g), very satisfying but unfortunately the filling is not made with almond meal but more of a vanilla custard.The chocolate croissants (110g) are nice too but lack the golden coat.Plain croissants (85g) could have a bit more butter.Will come back to try the bread.

Have been buying our bread here for a long time. Sourdough is great, but recently have noticed that the block loaves have changed. Seem drier and when toasted they tend to burn. Have tried in a couple of toasters and both had same results, so definitely the bread. Unfortunately will have to look for a new bakery - not hard in Canberra where there seem to be too many almost.
