First visit here, the food and service are fantastic. Was very pleased when we entered as the restaurant has a warm, inviting feel and the layout is excellent with the dining area away from the kitchen and warm also on a chilly night. Would highly recommend to all authentic pizza lovers, the beef ribs were amazing also. Thanks guys!

Great friendly service, I think it was Shawn and generous food portions, would recommend, the tiramisu and gelato was fantastic and very generous serving.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to the amazing team and staff at Cavallino for hosting my Bridal Shower over the weekend. I could not have be more happier with the whole experience and assistance from the team. What a beautiful set up, food and drinks were amazing! Such an easy and smooth process from start to finish. I highly recommend having your next event or a night out here! Thank you again and can’t wait to revisit.

A little disappointed with our overall experience at Cavallino this time. We've had many family functions there in the past, but on this occasion I feel we were taken advantage of, and some of the food on our set menu was sub-standard. We were also charged for 2x guests that were last minute cancellations due to having COVID, and we were charged for water that was on the table when we arrived that no one requested. We were also charged a 10% long weekend surcharge, which would have been acceptable, had they not have already charged us for the last minute cancellations and unwanted water! I don't see us returning unfortunately.

We had a family celebration for my daughter's 16th birthday back in February and it was the perfect venue. As a group of 14, we had a set menu of shared antipasto (hot & cold), pizzas and pastas plus I added a couple of serves of ribs - we all left stuffed and with a few boxes of takeaway. The woodfire pizzas were particularly delicious. We were also able to bring our own cake for a cake fee of $2.50pp which they cut and served with ice cream for us. The staff were super friendly, helpful and efficient.

I went despite some negative reviews, that I thankfully found largely unwarranted.It is a nice space, atmosphere is quite relaxed and family-oriented. No I would not say it is a place for a romantic dinner, that said, it was not noisy nor did I find it too open - I like the open space, high ceilings, exposed beams, skylights/ glass ceilings, perfectly OK for a dinner for 2.The Calarami Fritti was perfectly cooked - light and crispy, and the entree size was very generous.The pizza was nice, tasty, as was the salmon.If there is feedback at all, the drinks department needed more refinement - the months under new management should be well past the teething period. The drinks waiter did not know the table numbers and had difficulty serving drinks to the right tables; the glass of white wine was delivered at room temperature. The up side was that once this was pointed out, the waitress was immediately empahtetic and apologetic, offered a replacement on the house.The service was slightly inconsistent - ranged from slightly curt/ direct, to professional and well mannered (varied from wait staff to wait staff). The 'flatter' wait staff just need more professional pointers/ training, courtesy is easily fixed. All that said, the service is in no way unacceptable though more friendliness and attentiveness would be better (for some staff).All in all I was very happy with the dining experience.

Tonight being a Sunday night I came for dinner with my family. Beautiful atmosphere and ambiance with clean and neat staff as well as surroundings.The lady who served us (should have gotten her name) was so polite, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, bubbly and attentive. As soon as she asked us if we’d like water it was on our table 2 mins later. She came over at the perfect time to take our order with a smile.We asked her a few questions about the wines and she answered confidently with no hesitation. I found that very impressive from such a young lady. If I could give her a star rating of 6 I would !!. (Appreciate if she got this message). Very rare that I see a waitress so young and professional.The food was phenomenal!!I got the risotto which was packed with flavour, textures and colour. 2 others ordered the beef cheeks which were literally falling apart with no resistance. The calzone was perfectly folded and presented on the board. And my brother got the spaghetti which he devoured which says something in itself!.This is by far the best Italian in the St Ives, Terry Hills area.
