We had the most delicious home style Bangladeshi daal-bhaat. Nabil is so friendly and enthusiastic about his mum's recipes that we can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

Bangladeshi cuisine in Brunswick - I couldn’t be happier :) Dinner was a mixture of meat and veg mains and sides, cooked with all the right spices and flavours to accurately represent food in Bangladesh. Owner/chef was very welcoming too.

Walking into the cafe, I was greeted by a really lovely staff member. But the owner of the establishment decided that degrading his staff and bullying him was an appropriate way to build a relationship with customers. My first interaction with the owner was so negative because he kept making jokes at his staff members expense and degrading him expecting us to join in. This was awkward and created and uncomfortable atmosphere to dine in. I suggest the owner needs to educate himself on workplace bullying. All the best.

This is an awesome spot to grab a coffee and try some home style Bangladeshi food. The Chicken & Daal plate was delicious and wholesome with mashed potatoes and smoked & mashed eggplant. Plus Daal, chutney and picked onions. The food was fresh, not at all oily, and while flavourful, not overly spicy or heavy. It really did remind me of a lunch at home! Looking forward to the exciting new menu items!

Amazing to see a cafe in Melbourne with authentic Bangladeshi roots. They have some great fusion meals such as Beef Kima Nachos and Bengali Benedict. 10/10 ambience as well.

Having dinner here was the highlight of my week. The chef/owner Nabil served me, and was so friendly and interesting, taking me through the banquet meal he prepared me, his memories of Bangladesh, and what makes him excited about Crazy Lover. The food was such an amazing experience, obviously made with love and care, and I’ve never eaten anything like it before. I’ll definitely be back, and can’t recommend enough for anyone else to visit.

I recently visited Crazy Lovers Cafe based on a writeup I found on Broadsheet. However, I was sorely disappointed by the experience I had at this establishment. From the confusion surrounding the restaurant's previous reviews/change of management to the underwhelming food and poor value for money, my visit was far from satisfactory. My visit to Crazy Lovers Cafe left much to be desired.Despite a passionate chef's greeting, the portion size of the $21 Curry in a Hurry" dish was abysmal. It took over half an hour to arrive

Best Chotpoti & Fuchka in Melbourne! This quaint, cool, rustic cafe in Brunswick not only has excellent coffees it has a delicious, mouth watering selection of real hearty Bengali food.If you want to be adventurous and try a new cuisine but still want to stick to something you know, then go for the burger and eggs Benedict. But if you want a real Bengali fix, there it is, a hearty rice, chicken, veg & daal meal. The menu is simple yet it has something for everyone.Lastly, the service is so calming and helpful, the owner and chef Nabil made a personal appearance and took the time to chat to us. It was a superb experience. Can’t wait to try the dinner menu.

One of my local food spots. The curry lunch special was good value and so hearty and warming on a cold day, but not like the greasy curry from your usual Indian place (aka less food coma afterwards). It was spicy but in a good way, enough to clear the nose but not so much i couldn't finish it. I'm keen to try the toasties and dinner next.
