Had a very tasty parmigiana & mum loved her steak with Diane Sauce. The service was friendly. Missed out on the some stars as meal took about 45 minutes & it wasn’t really clear how to order. Also Mum & I just wandered in to the bistro & found our table ourselves as no one appeared to be seating guests.

Celebrated my D-I-Ls 40th birthday on the 18 March and the service from Karissa was amazing. She really made our experience a very special one. I am visiting from FNQ and I've never been so impressed with the service she gave us. She is a lovely young lady.

Absolutely disgusting the whole venue is filthy the service was poor the ladies toilets are almost unusable we took 3 teenagers to dinner and was told they weren’t allowed in the bar area but the managers baby was allowed in there I don’t see the difference as the teenagers werent there to gamble neither was the baby discrimination much I would never recommend the Russell hotel to anyone also being a past hotelier I would be embarrassed to recommend this establishment to anyone someone needs to pick their game up for this hotel to get back to how it used to be I remember when it was a classy place to go out to but wow not a hope in hell would I take anyone back there

Every thing was great, from the service to the drinks. The steak sandwich pictured, was sensational and hit the spot...bang on with the flavour and tender too. Will definitely be back and definitely recommend a visit. Ambience was great with a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.Round 2 for another winner of a meal. I was somewhat let down with my first sandwich on this visit, as I compared it to my first visit. When I approached the staff with my concerns, Nathan and his team quickly rectified it and the second tasty sandwich was before me and I devoured it. Once again, I was impressed with the service and the food was back to the standard set of my first visit. I recommend this Tavern and look forward to coming back again.

It is disgusting the toilets.I would not choose to take my family there. Never too the restaurant.They obviously don't care enough too be clean no bad at the chef but...They like the younger crowd cause they pay more money.Nathan can be pleasent and helpful when it suits him. I choose to go elsewhere now so do Alot of older people.

Hi we went there tonight.and had the macadamia crusted fish..we had it there two years ago it was fabulousNot so this time way to much sauce and mash of putting. Fish was nice. But last time only very little ssurce drizeled over it was fabulous.diffrwbt chef maybe but disappointing after waiting an hour and ten minutes.

Around Oct22 they removed rib fillet from the grill menu, tried all their other steaks and very average quality beef. Waited 1.5hrs last time I was there for dinner to come out. Won't be going back.

We had a lovely evening. Cassandra the duty manager was friendly, the food presentation was very good. 2 of us were vegetarian and the other two: one ordered steak and one fish and chips.....they really enjoyed their meal. We had a vegetarian pizza, very nice and the roast pumpkin salad was delicious.
