This was perfect! Beautiful cottage, so well presented, so clean and so gorgeous. I missed the opportunity to review on air bnb sadly (forgot to check my emails) but I’d love people to know how wonderful this cottage is. So well priced and loved the fire with wood provided. We will be back :)

My husband and I needed a get away and found this amazing place. Not only did it have what we think we needed, it had so much more that we didn’t know we needed. With a gorgeous layout with all the little extras you could ever want we highly recommend if your looking for an all inclusive place.We had dinner supplied by Chardonnay Lodge due to COVID19. The BEST lasagna we have ever add.With a gorgeous port and wood fire to finish we can’t wait to stay here again.

Sarah's Cottage
The cottage has been recently renovated and upgraded with Wifi. Perfectly situated only 7 kms from Coonawarra and for a most pleasant excursion to a day out in either Mt Gambier or Robe. After a day out it was nice to light the open fire and partake of some of the fine wines and produce we purchased during the day over a game of chess. The cottage is very comfortable and conveniently located only a few metre walk to all Penola has to offer. A most pleasant stay, we will be returning to explore more.

What a delight to stay two days and three nights in Penola but they were not just ordinary days and nights. Our stay at Sarah's Cottage not only provided us with excellent, cosy and delightful accommodation but beautifully augmented our desire to experience Penola in all of its colonial splendour.Leolla the host, went the 'extra mile' in ensuring that every part of our visit was special. The cottage was spotlessly clean, well appointed and the thoughtful touches like homemade, freshly baked bread upon our arrival made us feel so welcome.To sit outside on the back verandah having breakfast and gazing upon the beautiful cottage garden was just one of the many highlights of our stay. One could spend half a day on the inside of the cottage just enjoying the many curios, fittings and other decorations that the owner had thoughtfully placed throughout.What more can I say. When travelling to Penola don't consider anywhere else to stay but Sarah's Cottage. It's comfortable, affordable and a real 'jewel in the crown' of historic Penola.
