There are a number of trails in the reserve including to the Georges River both down the Old Ford Road and to the Basin. The latter has steep sections near the bottom, but the walker that perseveres is rewarded with wonderful views, a waterfall and the finest natural swimming hole!!

Beautiful walk! Unpaved sandy path and rocky at times with a number of steps so a little challenging. Highly enjoyable experience heading down to the Basin, the water view is stunning. Very quiet and peaceful spot, with native birds and wildlife.

We enjoyed the walk down the Basin Trail which is mostly flat until the end which has a steep descent with well constructed steps which are easy to walk down. The little waterfall was flowing really well and the water look clean. It was very pretty. The steps were very steep in the way back and had to stop for a break half way up. The bush was beautiful at this time of year with lots of Flannel Flowers, Eucalyptus trees with orange bark, Banksia. The track is marked by council in several spots to help you stay on the right track which is helpful. On the way back we heard something rustling in the bush and we’re amazed to see a large Echidna scurrying along towards a tree hollow. It was a warm 24 degree day with a nice breeze. Great bush walk. Be prepared for the steep steps and good footwear and a bottle of water and shorts would be best as can get quite hot in parts. Overall was a great experience

Beautiful hidden gem in the middle of Minto! The walk is nice!! You are required to go through a flight of stairs, so make sure you are wearing the right shoes for this hike. This hike is dog friendly as well, as long as they are on a leash as there are other dogs going for a walk with their owner. and don't forget to bring a picnic rug!

Beautiful place to have a moderate tough bushwalk with friends and families. The Georges River basin is a stunning hidden gem in Campbelltown/Minto/Ingleburn/Lumeah area with waterfall, various birds chimes, wild bush flowers and old trails. Council installed stairs to make easy access to the water basin. Make sure to put on your running/walking shoes and grab a bottle of water; on the way back from the basin its steep uphill and you might get a bit exhausted.

Definitely a hidden gem in the middle of Minto. It's a quick drive to get her and the walk itself is not too long. The Old Ford Walking Trail is a sloping gravel pathway down to the river The Basin Walking Train has a few stairs to go down to the basin. Neither are particular difficult. The view down at the basin is definitely worth the short trek and a great place for a little picnic.

Great hidden swimming hole that the locals have wisely kept to themselves. Small sandy areas next to the water which are great for sunbaking or relaxing on. There are also rocks to jump off into the water but as always be careful - there are underwater objects that could seriously injure you if you slip or jump into the wrong place.Parking can be an issue here as it can get busy, in the afternoon it can get a little quieter as the sun moves from overhead and the swimming hole gets cooler.Remember to take enough water for the short hike in and the relatively steep hike out (if you aren't used to hiking). Please also remember to take any rubbish with you. I removed a beer can and coffee cup that has no place in the middle of the bush.

I went on a Wednesday morning, and there was hardly anyone there to disturb you. Theres plenty of parking space, and the walk only took about 20 minutes to get to the bottom to sit and enjoy the serenity of the rivers' water splashing against the rocks. There wasnt enough space to set up a picnic rug for a little break, but there were plenty of rocks along the river to sit and rest on.I dont recommend going if you're looking for an easy hike to the basin. The trek back might be a little hard otherwise.

Absolutely love this place. Very local. Beautiful hidden gem. Didn't even know this place existed. When you go for a walk you can go down left or right. It's amazing on both ends, both sides lead to some water to dip your feet in or have a quick swim. And the steps on the way back are an awesome work out
