Anxiety was slowly eating away at me ... then I came across Megan's mindfulness yoga classes which I can highly recommend for anyone seeking gentle respite from the rat race.

Simply Mindful Canberra - Mindfulness, yoga, anxiety treatment
I love these guys. I first came across them when they were offering free yoga/meditation in the park. It was a wonderful, tranquil way to start the day and it introduced me to some forms of meditation that I hadn't come across before. Later I joined up to their MBSR course, and I just recently did a silent weekend meditation retreat with them. The staff are amazing: knowledgeable, calm, patient, and just really chill (and funny). The gathering place is cool and has its own wacky vibe, being a former convent & the garden has its own charm and character. Simply Wonderful.

Simply Mindful Canberra - Mindfulness, yoga, anxiety treatment
I did my first mindfulness program (MBSR) with Simply Mindful back in 2009 with the objective of bringing more peace and calm into my stressed out busy life. As it turned out, the program transformed my life - with the benefit of calmer, more focused and clear mind. Through the training and then applying it to life, gradually came to understand the voice/thoughts in my head were both not me and not always to be believed; that I had a choice of how I thought about and responded to any given situation; and the genuine happiness of being in the present and having a calmer/stiller mind. To continue the momentum and learning, have continued to attend some of the graduate events and yoga classes at Simply Mindful. They truely have their hearts in the right place - with a mission of a more peaceful world - one mindfulness program or yoga class at a time.
