3.5 stars out of 5 would be perfect! I had a pleasant night at Il Grappolo, I really enjoyed the prawn pasta & salt & pepper squid - accompanied by a glass of red of course! The only thing that was a let down was the service. It took a long time to be noticed/served when we arrived - we also saw 2 guests who were seated 20-25 minutes after us have their order taken before us as well as get their dishes before us.

Nov 2021 review: Honest Italian with considered range of entrees, pizzas, pastas and mains on the menu in a cosy neighbourhood setting at friendly local prices. Comfortable setting and tasty meal. BYO $15 per bottle and cakeage $3 pp. all prices on menu reasonable. Great night***2019 review: Absolutely superb homemade pastas with intense flavours and pizzas cooked just right - ragu, seafood and their special orrichiette pasta of the day were all amazing. Veal scalppione with lemon was also very tender, everything was in generous portions, there was nothing to fault at all! Also only $1.50pp cakeage and $6 per bottle byo wine. A great value local neighbourhood restaurant with a relaxed casual vibe. Great place for a night out with friends!

Authentic Italian wood fired pizza, wonderful gnocchi and prawns garlic to die for. Super friendly and fun staff and well priced. Great wineSelection.

The food was really nice, as was the coffee. Nice little cosy place. Service with a smile, though, could have been a little more attentive.

Outstanding food, outstanding service. First off all the service was more than extraordinary. Attended to as soon as we walked in. We did want a table inside but were given a table outside, but we just did walk in without a reservation. By the time we left it was full, so I suggest making a reservation. Our table was regularly attended to which is a great touch by any restaurant. What we ordered was outstanding. The stuffed zucchini flowers are perfect. Ravioli was made in house and cooked nicely and very tasty. Even the four cheese pizza was a perfect mix and not to much dough. I will definitely be back and will go as far as saying this place has moved in to my top five. Could not fault any dish we ordered. Very keen to go back and try more dishes. It cost us $230 for three of us which included several entre's mains, deserts, alcoholic drinks and coffees. Reasonable for everything we had. On street parking.

Food was lovely, service was nothing special and $24 corkage for 2 people/2 bottles of wine was not the best surprise when the bill came.

Really great tasting food. Had the beef carpaccio, garlic prawns, calamari, gnocchi gorgonzola and pizza!! Check the photos. Delicious.

Visited here for a casual lunch on a Sunday with the family and had a really enjoyable experience. We tried a few pizzas and salad, as well as chips for the kids. Pizzas were nice and thin and crisp which is just how we like them, not too much toppings but all well flavoured and nicely presented. The potato pizza and pumpkin pizza were probably my favourites, kids enjoyed the tropicale (ham and pineapple). Very reasonably priced and serving sizes were generous. Service was good but seemed like they were a little short staffed which is not unusual at the moment. I think this will become one of our regular local pizza places.

Easily the best pasta place in Sydney. Delicious Italian home style cooking. Highly recommend the pasta and salad dishes. Also offers a wide range of liqueur on their dessert menu.
