My family and I went on a Friday for lunch and was absolutely beautiful food, yes, it's pricey but for a good home cooking meal what do you expect!I will definitely come here again.Thanks guys for your serviceCute little area for the kids to play too

I was really looking forward to a hearty meal but was a little disappointedPositives: The kids enjoyed the play kitchen (but one staff member also seemed worried about the kids playing with the toys which seemed really odd). The kids enjoyed the Mac and cheese.The mulled wine was good.Negatives: The venue is quite dark. The meat looked like it was thrown onto the plate and not much for the price (expensive for what you get). The staff had a smile but there was minimal interaction and the smile seemed forced. Compared to other similar food places such as Hunter and Barrel - it was not as good.Edit: the venue was empty when we arrived so I don't think it disturbed anyone. The only noise was the bbq lid falling which can happen to anyone as they play. I'm surprised you didn't tell the teens off about an hour later when they were smashing the roof etc. But thank you for your feedback, I was watching my children play very happily.

Honestly accidentally stumbled across this hidden gem while scrambling to find a last minute lunch place for my friends.By far the best American bbq place I’ve been. Everywhere else I’ve tried hasn’t compares. We ordered:- Pitmaster Selection- Mac n Cheese- Sweet Corn Bread- Mulled Cider drink (yum!)The restaurant is huge and beautifully set up. A real family vibe and I can see how it’s also a great venue for events.-Melbourne

Highly recommend - service was friendly and fast, great atmosphere and of course - the food was sensational. We had the ‘Happy as a pig’ an absolutely brilliant selection of beef brisket, pulled pork and chicken breast with thoughtful accompaniments. 12/10 will eat there again!

Absolutely loved our visit. First time eating there. Ordered the ‘Happy as a Pig’ from the feed me menu for the two of us, with a selection of their BBQ meats, accompanied with mac n’ cheese, coleslaw, sweet cornbread, garlic and dill pickle chips and onion. It was the most tasty and delicious meal we’ve had for ages. The slow cooked meat was so tender (particularly the brisket), and we could hardly speak as we were so busy experiencing the flavours. Remember to try sauces on the table - takes it to a new level. The portion size was large and we had an afternoon sleep to recover! We loved the rustic and authentic charm of this place and it was exactly as we had hoped. Any additional charges that you might incur are clearly noted on the menu and when you book online.

Pretty awesome American BBQ! The meat was not as smoky and juicy as I'd like but still quite tasty! They have awesome BBQ sauces and their corn bread is to die for! Finally, I really love the relaxed vibe of the place.Highly recommend Red Gum BBQ if you're in the area

Great food. Pulled pork was amazing. Brisket was great and corn bread is delicious.Portions were on the small side for the price. BBQ is always expensive. So no surprise there. They have to do something about the ventilation though. Because you come out smelling like smoke

HIGHLY RECOMMEND red gum bbq ! love the ambiance and food. I have been to this place several times. If you love southern style Texas bbq this is the place to be! The place is great with rustic fixtures. People can sit indoor or outdoor with bench-style seating and have variety of local beers and wine to drink. Red gum bbq is authentic Texan Southern BBQ cuisine, meats are traditionally smoked for 12-16 hours. Highly recommend to order their traditional sides of cornbread, mac cheese and coleslaw. My favourite dishes are beef brisket, beef ribs and sausage. I don’t normally order the feed me menu, but if it’s your first time I suggest to try it.

OMG!This place is perfect for meat lover.(BBQ lover)Booked a table for 4 and we all enjoyed our food.Only downside was they had no chicken left and they replaced the smoky chicken breast with beef sausage!Meats were very nice and juicy.Service was friendly and helpful.Only negative would be the double Surcharge on both card and holiday!We ordered beef brisket, red ribs, beef sausage with few sides.All were good.Highly recommended this place if you love American style BBQ!
