I went to this school for 4 years and changed due to the bullying being so excessive. It was the worst 4 years of my life. I laugh when people say your school days were your best years. I'm 30 now I can say they were by far my worst. I remember being verbally insulted, having things thrown at my head on the school bus, on a daily basis.Years later I met a kid on the public bus because the same thing was still happening.

I attended John Paul College as a past student in 2019- 2021. My experience at John Paul College was overall alright. The education at John Paul college I found was pretty good the teachers were really helpful and supportive, regardless if you were academic or not, however some of the work was very overwhelming and the teachers expect the students to have a high standards towards there learning, everyone would have between 30-35 assignments per semester, on top of that we had textbooks, homework, other class work. which was full on at times, spent most of my time at home most days after school and most weekends just learning and completing tasks just to manage to pass school, besides that I have nothing to complain about towards there education. However mentally i have to say that about time I say this since I've left John Paul college but they don't care about students wellbeing, I'll use my experience I had an issue with someone that led to a massive issue involving multiple year levels, because it became too big of an issue and it was too hard for the teachers to figure out there coward behaviour or the teachers knew that they were in the wrong, but all they will do is pull them up ,have a talk , talk to parents and goes on in circles. so i developed major anxiety where some days I wouldn't attend school, I wouldn't want to be around in big meetings with major year level, I would hide at back of buildings away from people, and I would leave class sometimes and have anxiety attacks in the bathroom. I developed trauma and bit of depression. It got to a point where I had to tell my teachers about how much it affected me, so I told them , there wasn't much they could do about it, all they suggested was for me to get coucling. It got to a point where i had to leave Jpc, because it started affecting my education. I'm not the only one who has been in a similar position, its pretty bad considering its a semi private school and you pay extra money to go to that school. At my new school they deal with things heaps better they John Paul did, if someone even threats to jump someone and dont even lay hands on them at my new school they get suspended straight away at John Paul college there are no suspensions just a talk, even if you do get jumped outside of school it's still the same just at talk, they only care when you get jumped in school. At my new school if it's outside of school or in, you get a suspension regardless. I realised John Paul is slack and they could of done alot more, and no matter what it is all they do is have talks with the students and parents sometimes depends if it's something dangerous really. At times the students felt like they care more about uniform then them. They would suspended like a huge number of people for vapeing straight away, and make vapeing" the priority and there uniform policy. Also I have to say that the staff in the student services are extremely rude

A pretty good school I must say. Teachers respect their students and have a sense of caring for them. Sometimes there is a conflict but mostly is controlled which is a benefit for those who want to be in a safe environment.Whether or not your child is religious, it is a good school to consider sending your child if they are just graduating primary school or moving to a different school. Lots of opportunities to try out for people with different hobbies.

School is midTeachers & education are very good, which is the incentive to go to the school, however the kids there & the overall environment is terrible. Loads of issues with bullying. I myself got bullied consistently all throughout year 8 with little to no teacher action. More often than not environment feels very unwelcoming and you can feel quite judged. My mental health has not been great while attending the school. Reconsider if you’d like to come here.

It appears the school has ousted the previous principal that was in charge 2010-2015 that was a complete waste of space and was only there for their own personal gain, and the school seems to be cleaning it's act up. Unfortunately, I had a rough experience with a lack of support for mental health, and fell through the cracks very quickly. A school of nearly 1000 students needs more than one counsellor and apathetic support" staff. If you're looking for a supportive environment for your teenager

I went to this school for four years. Along with my two brothers. Don't send your kids here unless you want them to turn into junkies or criminals. The school has had a large drug problem for along time.

Used to be bad. They're cleaning up their act kind of, but they're incapable of controlling their kids. There's still a large drug problem, although bullying and harrasment is almost completely gone. Not challenging. Support for students is a little decent, I guess. They waste time a lot. Wouldn't recommend.
