Ormeau Veterinary Surgery - Companion Care

My dog recently had a dental here and i was extremely impressed with the level of service and care I received. Having just moved to the area it is good to know that there is a vet close by that is reasonably priced and as welcoming as the staff were there.

When we can afford to get what is needed done ( no veterinary clinic is cheap) we have always found this vet to be pleasant- understanding and very attentive to our pets. We have not found them to be money hungry or rude. I use and recommend them . Love their service to our fur babies.

My best furry mate injured his foot running, immediately took him to this vet who took X-rays and couldn't really tell us what was wrong $640 later and unwise to put cast on because of potential swelling advised to bring him back the next day and was charged another consultation fee + medicine $130 as different vet was on who advised me to bring him back when original vet we seen was on, this vet continually played with my dogs severely injured foot (I carried him everywhere so as Not to put any weight on it) and again left with having to pay another consultation fee$35. I have since gone to a vet in Beenleigh who with ONE look and 10-20 seconds feeling my poor mates leg told us my furry mates condition. I will not return to this vet

I have been going to Dr Robert at Ormeau for the past 10 years with my dogs. I really appreciate the care and honesty shown by all staff at the clinic over the years. You will be seeing my new dog Chuck very soon.

Lovely vets, run by lovely people. They always take amazing care of my huskies!

Robert is an abrupt rude vet. Very unprofessional in the way he deals with clients. There are many vets out there with great expertise and professionalism. Your pet is worth doing your research for. I did not like my experience with him and wouldn't leave my pet with him.

Great service and caring staff. The vets are direct to the point which I really appreciate and I know they genually care for my pets. My dog loves visiting them especially for her hydrobaths.

Very unhappy with the professionalism we received during an accident which occurred with our dog while being groomed. We sent our dog for a groom through the surgery to only get a call a short time later to say part of her ear had been cut off. We understand that accidents like this may happen however the staff at the surgery weren't as compassionate or professional as we would of expected in this fragile situation. They did pay for medical costs for fixing her ear however did try and have us pay for the blood test to check if our dog could be placed under anaesthesia before we refused too. They then charged us for the groom at the end of the ordeal as well, which considering this was more then a small cut we expected to not have to fork out the costs of this service. I won't be taking my pets back to this surgery.

Very professional caring care. We had our dog desexed and they gave me full details prior and called me every step of the way.
