STRAND Cairns

My wife came home yesterday absolutely devastated after purchasing a bag from strandbags Cairns central and having the teller treat like a criminal by thoroughly searching our baby's pram even though the bags she was looking at could not possibly fit in there anyway. I'm so proud of her for immediately returning the bag she had just brought.

Staff today were so helpful and friendly. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for a new purse, or bag. Everything was done with ease, and a smile.

Very happy with the customer service, product range and price. Today we found exactly what we were after in terms of a small, plain black backpack with side pockets for a water bottle and plenty of room inside. I was very happy with the price of $30. They also stock lots of travel accessories, including products that have RFDI protection. Great range of wallets, handbags and luggage also.

Very positive first experience! Staff were lovely and even set the code on my suitcase for me. Second suitcase purchase i was greeted by an older staff member who was rude and very unhelpful. I had to repeat myself multiple times (i was very straight foreward) and she refused to help me set the lock on the luggage. Her expression and tone of voice made this a very negative customer experience. If i return to the store i would avoid her like the plague. Other staff were very courteous and wonderful. Only one bought down my experience in the store.

I don’t usually write reviews but this one deserves it. I was in strandbags today around 12:30pm to 1:00pm 16/03/2018. I wasn’t dressed very fancy. I was wearing an Old maroon Shirt and Blue shorts. So There is a Guess brand bag I was wanting to buy. If the Staff would stop being such rude snobs they would have realized I Have a guess bag over my shoulder and wanted to upgrade and go bigger but instead they looked at me like I was a piece of dirt (Practically looking at me like what are you doing in this store) I walked around the store multiple times, Yes right in front of the service desk. Waiting for a “Hello” “Can I help you” Instead I was ignored like I was nothing. I was a bit embarrassed. At one stage I looked up and smiled at the Lady. She looked at me, No smile. Just put her head down and continue unpacking boxes. To make it worse, Here I am walking around the store and a Man walks in. The lady Rushes up “how can I help you, If you need my help Just ask) Pathetic. Customer service is Disgusting at that moment I walked out. Goodbye to your over $171.00 sale. Have been shopping with Strandbags for a long time. Strandbags Card chopped in half. You’ve just lost yourself a Customer!!! If you’re not dressed to their standards. Stay away!

Me n my partner went there for boxing day shopping today. The ladies who were working there was blocking the way when i was trying to put the bag back on place. I requested her to put the bag back if possible she said i am not slave, you can put it back yourself. They were laughing at us and rolling their eyes. Very awful experience.

Always have what I am looking for....in this case a new handbag.Lovely service as well...

If I could give a zero I would if you purchase a bag and it’s faulty still under warranty you would think the staff would know what is covered under warranty?. I went into the Cairns central store with the faulty bag and my receipt and warranty card for the bag that is broken, to be told she didn’t even know they sold that brand of bag and she thinks only zippers are part of warranty, then to be told to take it to a place in Cairns that will look at it and let them know . Went to said repair place to be told I have never had to deal with quants luggage not sure if it’s one she does warranty for . Pathetic customer service from strand bags cairns central only want your money at time of sale . You have lost my business and I will be letting others know how you do business.

Needed to purchase new luggage after the bag I was using broke. Good range of brands and staff were pleasant and helpful.
