Quite a trek from main road. Large concrete boat ramp. Not busy. Basic toilets. Amazing part of river. Saw green turtles just opposite the ramp on the river!

Great fishing, a must see area to visit, drive the wonderful Woodgate Esplanard, has 16klm of the best sandy beach front around. I have been camping here now for 10 years every xmas, great caravan park right on the beach front.Still just a little country spot, hotel one end, bowls club the other, caravan park in the middle, with the country store down the road. Have built a small shopping complex a little back were a small subdivision was created. quess what..NOT A HIGH RISE TO BE SEEN ANYWHEREand NEVER WILL BE.YIPPEEE you know that little country town.Take a drive on the beach and fish at the mouth of of the inlet.

Walkers Point Boat Ramp
It's a great spot to launch provided the wind, tide and swell/chop are in your favour. Can be treacherous otherwise, bordering on downright dangerous. Best time to launch is 30 minutes either side of high tide. The beach is great on the downriver side but the upriver side is full of rock. Sandflies and midges will carry you away most times of year. Plenty of room to turn around and heaps of parking.

Good place to launch. The ramp is like two ramps joined together and one is a bit higher than the other but that's not a problem if you use one side or the other. Boat wise the ramp is gorgeous, gentle slope and nice and wide. ---- Rather pretty spot. Would have to be the best place for miles to take the family for a run in a boat up the river.

It's a nice place to do some kayaking, boating or standup paddleboarding. There's a toilet, I think you can camp in there.

Walkers Point Boat Ramp
Always stop here for a few minutes after a long day in town. Beautiful place to decompress and seen a few turtles bobbing around. Fantastic for sunsets
