Omar and his installer Luke did a fabulous job installing our Barnyard Grey XL Vinyl planks. We had 20-year-old laminate floating floors so it gave us a few height issues but nothing was too much trouble for them. Highly recommend.

We purchased an established house in January (built in 2018) with lovely, strand woven - solid Bamboo flooring, we needed approx 8 square metres to complete our under-stair area and after making numerous calls to the manufacturer, (Verdana) we found out that this product was no longer available and that's where Omar and the team came to the rescue. I went into the office in Rowville after the team kindly arranged a sample board from the Verdana Rep and was welcomed in by the team, able to take my original board in and match it with an engineered product from the same manufacturer. What was so good about this was that I was able to confidentially order a small quantity of packs and lay my flooring, which was surprisingly easier than I thought, yet I know had I engaged Omar and the team they would have done a beautiful job. Excellent result on a challenging jobI recently purchased a house and the existing Oak engineered floors were not well maintained. I decided to get the boards “refurbished” before I moved in. It was obvious within 1 minute of my discussion with Omar that he knows exactly what he is talking about, and I had total confidence in the suggested way forward. So refreshing to talk to the people on the job and not a shopfront salesperson.As it turned out, the job more challenging than first expected as the oak veneer only 3mm. The team took extra care to not sand off this thin veneer layer and the results outstanding!The team very professional and friendly and took immense pride in their work. We're so pleased we chose Melbourne Flooring to install and polish new solid timber floors though most of our house. From the beginning when Omar came to our house to check things, to the stunning end result, Omar and his crew were professional, thorough to ensure the best quality result, and super patient to answer all my questions about the process (I had lots!). Most companies (including one I got out for a comparison quote) just lay solid timber flooring direct stick onto concrete, but I knew from my tradie friend that Omar's way of using Plywood underlay was the best result - less echo and a tighter finish.We had existing old Tassie oak floors in our living area, and very ratty carpet in the hallways and in bedrooms. We made the bold decision to rip out all our old flooring and replace the entire house (except wet areas and formal lounge) with select grade QLD spotted Gum. I never liked the orange colour that the Tassie oak stain went and turns out we had unusual width boards, so the price difference to 'upgrade' was worth it. Our house looks simply beautiful to walk through now, and smells so clean now that the old carpets are gone! They were so dusty and stained from our young kids, floorboards are so much easier to keep clean in the study and bedrooms.Omar and his Installers (Adam from @redgumtimberflooring) were really flexible to work around our family and dog - we camped in our front lounge and backyard during installation! They slotted nicely into the background of our family, perhaps not so quietly with all the power tools (!), but very accommodating. I'm sure our old timber floors will go down in history, as Omar had never seen anything glued down so well that they couldn't use a crowbar like usual! That caused some delays, but the team worked longer hours to minimise them.If you're getting floorboards in your entire house, be prepared to be really really flexible as it's a massive job! We had to move basically our entire house onto our deck for about a month as it wasn't worth the effort to bring things back in temporarily during the weeks between installation and polishing. We kept all the clothes in the cupboards and covered them with plastic sheeting - Omar did a great job to minimise the sanding dust but it was still present.You'll also probably want to repaint your skirting boards, as they all had to be taken off and nailed back on - they were very careful and most came off easy. We decided to hire painters to do the whole house as I wasn't keen on puttying all those nail holes, and the house was overdue a recoat.Thanks for your passion for all things timber, Omar and Adam, I'm happy to recommend your service.

Love my new oak floorboards! At first I was hesitant to going ahead with engineered boards as I didn't really like the bevel edge that you could see in most pre-prepared boards. Omar showed me what was possible by installing raw oak boards, then sanding and sealing by providing some samples. I was so excited to find something that looked really beautiful with a seamless finish.

Floorboards Melbourne was highly recommended to me by Smith & Smith Kitchens and I certainly couldn't have asked for a better result. Omar went to a lot of trouble to work out the type of parquetry in the rest of my home so that he could match it in the new kitchen area. The result was perfect, so that the new parquetry just flows on from the old without any detection at all, between old and new. The rest of the parquetry was also sanded and polished at an exceptional standard .Though I was dreading the mess and inconvenience of re polishing the parquetry in the entire house, Omar's dustless sanding and polishing equipment, along with his work ethic and great personality made the whole experience very easy. I would highly recommend Floorboards Melbourne for a perfect flooring result.

Omar and team did a fantastic job on our old orange Tasmanian Oak floorboards. They were beautifully sanded back and had a slight whitewash satin finish applied throughout. The team was easy to deal with, professional, friendly and took pride in their work which certainly showed. This company comes highly recommended.
