Lake Moogerah Picnic Area
Really nice place for a day picnic near Brisbane. Lots of parking, lot of covered places to have food, lots of grass to sit or walk around, children's play area, barbeque spots and picturesque lake. One of the best place to go again and again and again!

Lake Moogerah Picnic Area
Beautiful well maintained picnic area with views across the dam. Plenty of open spaces, BBQ facilities, tables under cover, clean toilets and bins. It can get quite busy on weekends, we found the lower picnic area a lot quieter. You can walk across the dam wall and do the hike through Moogerah Peaks National Park.

Wonderful view of the lake, it is really beautiful. There are many tables and benches and even a toilet for visitors.

Lake Moogerah Picnic Area
Amazing place to visit when there is no Moon and clouds.Incredible sunset behind the mountains, and then fantastic view of the stars at night.Can get busy, but most people keep lighting to a minimum to enjoy the stars.Oh, and there was a flock if birds sleeping in the tree outside the toilets, heads tucked in. I took a photo while the toilet lights were still on. Birds were deep asleep. Some kids disturbed them, but they didn't fly away, this is the pic when I came back and they were asleep again.

Great little spot with lots to do. Some wonderful hikes, Mt Greville is one of my favourites overlooking the dam, mt edwards accessible right by crossing the dam wall.

If you love serenity and mountain views then this is your spot! Lots of undercover tables, nice grassy areas and clean toilets. The weekends get very busy but during the week is lovely and quiet. Follow along on our adventures around Australia @sambolomio

Very picturesque and green grassy areas at the moment. Covered tables and benches as well as covered electric BBQ's. Children's play area under shading trees. Tidy Public Facilities. Excellent Cafe on site with a comprehensive menu. Dog friendly, on leash. Walking track up to top of Mt Edwards.
