Dux Hot Water

No technical support provided for failed 6 yo Dux Aeroheat. They referred me to their local agent who had no refrigeration specialists and couldn't repair the unit. I was left to find one myself, gave up and bought a standard Rheem water heater. I'll never try a Dux or heat pump unit again.

my experience with installing a prodigy 4 gas hw htr ,when removing old prodigy 3 heater no problem when i came to install new heater low and behold some idiot at dux has decided to make this heater with left connections only (dux has always had DUALconections )so consequently i had to alter all pipework to make it fit ,costing me money as it was a quote job,it apears that dux is going the way of many manufactures IF IT WORKS CHANGE IT what a dumb attitude i thought dux had more sense?what will their next step be, assemble yourself hot water heaters, ? for peats sake go back to dual handed heaters like you use to make

Avoid this company! Went to Bunnings to purchase a hot water tank and paid for the product and installation. On the day of installation, got a call from these guys asking me to pay additional $400+ for installation (this is after I paid $300 already). The hot water tank costs $700 and they want me to pay $700 for installation?! What a joke!

Dux hot water system is very Problematic system. System won’t work after warranty period(12 months). i had from from beginning. Very bad customer support. They are saying I am unlucky person to get faulty system and I need pay the repair cost.I saw other reviews and everyone has same problem. Hence not recommended

All I can say is keep up the great manufacturing of these hot water cylinders". We have our DUX 250F136 since May 2002 and have just had it blow up today (15.08.2022). That's 20 years and a bit!!! And all plumbers that have serviced it over the years have always said "you don't ever get this out of a cylinder....usually only get around 12-14 years"

Just called regarding a problem with an old Dux unit and i found the service to be great and super helpful. We have Dux units at all our properties and they all function great and when they don't are fixed quickly.

My hot water tank is 3 years old & I have lost count of the number of times the pilot light has gone out. Calling a plumber to relight it is expensive and as a 78 year old I find it difficult to be on my knees to do it myself. I have warned the other 8 villas in my complex to try a different brand when their tanks need to be replaced. I fully expected to not have problems after just 2 years.

Will never use dux for a customer again! Tank rusted out less then 6 years was replaced by them under warranty but took over a week to get. Rang 1300 several times to be spoken down to with no help at all. Disgrace customer service never will suggest them or use them again

Steer clear of this brand!! Hot water system broke after 18months...they only warrant 12months. Wouldn't even cover the replacement of a part..cost over $300 to have repaired on a system that cost over 1K. Customer service was rude & not interested in helping.

Very disappointed with Dux. Everyone complaining about their system failing after a year, that's nothing. Ours was faulty right on installation. The plumber was so rough he also dinted the tank and G J Gardners had the audacity to say we dinted it when concreting. They replaced the part and it seemed to work. Anyway during the first few months we noticed lots of water dripping from it continually. I called customer service and they told us it is meant to leak water all the time and if we have a plumber out and it is not faulty we have to pay the plumber, so of course we decide not to, as you do when you have no money after moving into a brand new home. The solar HWS kept on not heating water, we finally get a plumber out and low and behold he tells us that is not meant to leak that much water. I call Dux again and they say we were suppose to measure the output of dripping water, which no-one told us to do on the first call to them back in 2015. Now the product is out of warranty and they will not pay for it to be fixed. Also the diverter has now rusted out and failed. What an inferior product and horrible customer service. I called to ask them where their head office was, and guess what, they gave us the wrong address for service of VCAT documents!!
