Had delicious take away from here. We had some special dietary requirements, and the chef came out to take our order and help us order which was amazingly helpful. He even cooked up a special bespoke curry to address food allergies.The onion Bhaji entrees were delicious.The curries have a good amount of heat.I would highly recommend.

Our meals were excellent! Although the server did not fully understand some of our questions she did bring what we requested. We did notice a while later that she was a trainee.

Friendly courteous staff, very good food. Can byo if you like or buy drinks there.We went on quite a busy night as Sawtell Summer Sessions was on, we made a booking but there was still some confusion as to where to sit us. The service could have been better and quicker but the food was worth the wait. We would go back!

This is a remarkable little restaurant, the staff are amazing the service was great.The food was beautiful hats off to the chef for making such beautiful Indian cuisine. I'd recommend we will definitely be back.

Visiting Sawtell for a couple of days. After a mid afternoon of showers and thunderstorms had cleared we made the walk to Indian cottage for dinner from our accomodation. We were looking forward to having Indian food. Food was average. When food was delivered the food was overflowing as was full to the brim. A under plate would have stopped food from overflowing onto table. The korma lamb was nice but the vindaloo was disappointing. Drink service was non existent. We would have spent more if we could get a another drink.While in the restaurant we observed that they were no longer doing dining, only takeaways due to bad weather. The weather had cleared 2 hours earlier. With no sign of any bad weather. In total we saw at least 10 people turned away in 15 minutes for dining. And told take away only. There was only us two and another couple in the restaurant. People that arrived were not happy as it wasn’t even 7pm and were turned away. This should not be called a Restaurant. It’s a Take Away shop. Not good business turning away so many people that probably would have spent good money on food and drinks. I’m sure other restaurants in Sawtell would be welcoming their business.

If you are looking for an authentc Indian meal whilst on holifay, then keep looking. Disguising. As a tourist we were looking forward to treating ourselves to a nice evening eating out as a family. Food was horrid, but big drink sizes didnt even help ease the massive dissapointment. I wonder if the chef was indian as i can state it was the worst i have ever had. Hurts to have to pay for food that was sub par at best. Hubby took left overs home purely because we had paid good money and we are on a strict budget. I know me and the kids aren't eating it. I bet it gets left in the holiday camp kitchen bin.

It was a sheer disappointment visiting this place. I & my husband entered the restaurant at 17:45 PM and to surprise very few scattered customers in the dining area.1.One of the staff took our order after 15 mins later when we had just papadums on our table unlike others. (Papadums are always served with mint chutney)2. A family of 6 members later appeared, and within 10 mins their order was served. !!!That ain't reasonable, right? We were clueless what's going on? I waved to one of the girls and got no heed.At least keep informed what's taking so long.I understand whole staff is busy taking orders over the phone as well as walkin customers, but it doesn't mean to neglect your customers!! This is not customer service.I stood up and raised my hand, and then thank God- a staff member approached. Upon asking she says, sorry for the delay as we have take away orders". This isn't done at all. Your responsibility is to check the customers in the dining too.3. Quality & presentation of food:Curries overflowed from the serving bowl
