The Hahndorf Old Mill Hotel

Nice pub food.You can take photos of yourself in a vintage car while you wait, there is one inside and one outside, in front of the kerbside display.The open plan area has a fireplace and pool tables at the back. We ended up having our meal in the Heritage Room for the authentic Old Mill experience.

Went up to order meals, and was greeted with what do you want" by the lady behind the bar. meals could have been what was on the menu. Ordered Creamy Chicken

Past it’s prime, I feel sorry for the wait staff, they were friendly but seriously let down by the quality of the product they have to sell. I should’ve known it was going to be a terrible meal when two tables around me sent back food to the kitchen. Ordered the Schnitzel Parmi waited 45+ minutes to receive a cold, watery piece of chicken with tasteless topping and some cold chips. We didn’t complain because there was no way we could wait another hour for food. Retrain or replace your chef/s. You’re being let down hugely by the quality of food.

We stayed for 7 days. The front of house staff are lovely. Rooms fairly comfortable. Fantastic location. They came and made the beds daily and cleaned the toilets. That’s about it. When I asked one of the house keepers if we need to get out of the way so she could vacuum (we had unavoidably walked dried leaves and other garden debris that was laying around the door in) she replied “we don’t actually clean during the days”. Which was in fact true.

Droppped into mill hotel but not impressed can’t watch sports including horse races or American BBC sports. the roast was cold and the vegetables were not much better. the beer was not chilled from a publicans son point of view. Spear the keg but keep it cold and working so it hits the glass at right temp.The staff were excitable but the pub lacked all the ingredients of a venue. Food was terrible. Beer not cold. No sports and tv broken.

Honestly a little disappointed that there is no German beer but... The food was excellent and the staff brilliant. Had to wait for steaks but when your mate orders well done you expect that. Best garlic bread ever.

Family lunch. 12 adultsand 7 kids. The bistro itself is great! Very spacious and has pool tables! The meals were pot luck though. One person sent his pork belly back for a refund. Ham and Pineapple pizza was missing the pineapple. Service delivery was random. My beef cheeks should have been melt in your mouth but they were not. I did give feedback that this is a meal that needs to be cooked long and slow. They took it away and gave it back 30 mins later, still tough.They whisked my uneaten meal away without further comment. They knew it wasnt good enough. Very disappointing. There is a lot of competition so please improve as you have a great venue.

The location is perfect. The staff are lovely and kind. The beds are not great. I found it very hard and uncomfortable. I wish our room had actually been cleaned and not just beds made and towels collected. And they definitely should warn people about the loud music late into the night on a weekend. But it’s is fairly priced and good for last minute bookings.
