This place lives up to its name - D'Lish! I've never had Blue Grenadier before, I'm normally basic and get whatever Cod" is being sold. But this fish is similar to "Cod" but fresher and tastier. The batter is light and crispy. Probably the best Battered Prawns I've ever had in my life! Value for money is outstanding and the staff are great. Highly recommended!"

Standard fish and chips. Nothing special. Enjoyed the battered flake more than the grilled flake. The potato cake was crispy and tasty. The chips were ordinary. I usually eat chips regardless of quality, but I didn’t finish these ones. The takeaway order was missing the calamari rings. Only noticed when I got home and no one picked up my phone calls when I called the venue to follow up. Will not rush back

Ridden down here and tried it two days in a row. Pleasant staff, efficient and tasty. Seasoned well, great batter, crispy and light! Picture says it all. Good to have a descent fish and chip shop on the doorstep of the cruise-liners that knows how to make a descent batter. Great list of burgers too by the looks of it. Will try next time.

Everything I had in from here are very tender:1. Blue grenadier (battered)2. Barramundi (battered)3. Calamari ring4. Scallop5. Salt and pepper squidDue to the tenderness, I would recommend best to order in small quantity. As without texture, one tends to get bored and full easily. I highly recommend the scallop and the squids. Not big fan of the fish.

Service was good, I had two battered scallop, grilled flake and chips.Scallop a little under cooked, small piece of flake small portion chips, had a miniature bottle of Chardonnay but with paper cup? it was ok but most probably won't go back.

The last time I was here a month ago they were out of most fish - strange for a fish cafe. This time we had gluten free due to a family member's requirements. It was horrible. The fish was way over its prime. Good on them for doing gluten free (finding suitable places is such a problem for coeliac people) but I fortunately the experience was not a good one.

Pretty decent fish n chips. The view is definitely a bonus. Only thing was that there were a couple of birds chirping about and hovering me for food lol. Not the most ideal eating situation but I guess it’s all part of the experience.

So far this is my choice of the best fish and chips place in Melbourne for 2023.The chips are so good, they don't deserve to be called a side anymore. They could be a main. Delicious even without the amazing tartar sauce we had.The fish itself is in a crispy batter and the flesh itself is very juicy and flavourful. You gotta try it to understand.

April 2023 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ 3 starsMy experience was average. Good fish and chips but I would say it's quite regular. I've had better fish and chips. Calamari rings tasted a bit bland and chewy. Fish was nice and chips & scallop were ok but I wish chips were more crispy. We were there on Public holiday. The place was packed and people lined up for food plus 15% extra charge which is understandable. However, it just increased the total and I don't quite feel it's worth the price that much. We might come back on a nice day with regular price but my partner who has been there before said that it was better in the past.Thank you.

Friday night fish n Chips at D’Lish Fish. Best fish & Chips in Port Melbourne. I ordered a piece of battered fish, calamari rings and potato cakes. The batter was a light, delicate crispy crunch. Not heavy at all and let you taste the fish and potato. My only gripe is the furniture, a horrible screech of chairs on the floor every time someone got up or sat down. But absolutely can’t fault the food.
