Great place to stretch the legs and walk the fur babies.Toilets and showers.Green grassed area around dam/pond that you can access and walk around.Lots bird life.

Great FREE RV park at Walgett flushing toilets, HOT showers water avaliable pet friendly and can have a fire, right on the edge of town easy walk into town, 48hour stay we stayed an extra day to attend the Walgett races, great day, checked with the Infomation centre and got the OK, very friendly people well woth the stopover. Not a bad spot, ok for onite or 2, some road noise but not enough to annoy or keep me awake. easy access even for our big rig. Happy to stay again. Has been updated with new toilet and shower block plus bbq. Camping areas extended now a great spot.

Great spot for an overnight. Flat with good base. Toilets and some history on signs. Walk into town is easy with a large IGA to shop at. Cold at night in winter of course.

Free camp area Southside of town with several caravan site marked amongst trees. Dump point, filtered water tap beside BBQ, shelter shed and two tables. One toilet each M, F,disabled. Kept clean by council cleaner. No showers. Lagoon next door with water spout and swans etc.

Great camping ground has showers toilets. On southern end of town. Roadhouse nearby. A popular stay.

Very good spot to stop overnight. Toilet is clean and good pressure of hot shower. Good size of bin for dump too. It's free and highly recommended.

The Walgett Primitive Campground is a free 2day camp offered by the quiet town of Walgett. There is a lovely local gentlemen that rocks up and checks you in by signing a form with your name, phone and number of I'll people camping and how long you would be staying. It would be because of Covid precautions. The ground is a semi gravel dirt area, there are some soft parts so better be careful if you are a heavy vehicle and stick to the gravel part otherwise the ground is hard enough when it rains for lighter vehicles. It has a flushing toilet block with a.men, women and disabled cubicle. There are several covered seating areas with a table and benches. An electric BBQ but it doesn't seem to be working. A potable water faucet next to the covered seats and a bore water faucet as well however it doesn't seem to have a knob.There are designated camping spots with wooden log barriers. The camp has several vintage farm vehicles displayed throughout the park and commemorative plaques for several well known locals of the town. The camp Kasi has Covid precaution sheets posted on the seating areas and a QR code in the toilet area. The campground is right across a park with a little pond with a fountain that is high pressured so on a hot day you can get a must of water on your face depending where the wind blows which was a great way to cool down. It is surrounded by grass and trees and quite a number of very healthy ducks. There are also a handful of black birds climbing and playing on the trees like monkeys. There are bench chairs scattered near the pond. Come prepared with a mozzie spray because unfortunately there are quite a few mozzies residing in the area. Generators allowed. All on all the Walgett Primitive Campground is a great overnight or two spot to see the richly historic town of Walgett.
