Vinea Marson Winery

A must stop if you’re doing the winery trail in Heathcote. This family run business of Italian origin were super welcoming. They have a great diverse selection of wines to try, and offered a delicious platter to enjoy over lunch whilst they gave an in-depth review of their wines and heritage. They even arranged for a platter and bottle of Sangiovese to await our arrival at our Heathcote accomodation (The Cottage at Fallow). We are already looking forward to our next visit in Autumn.

We were really well looked after.Staff were amazing, atmosphere was great!Italian styles wines, typical of the Tuscany region at regional Victoria prices. What is not to love?It isn't what you would typically experience, unusual varieties.Recommended. A*.

I run tours from Melbourne up to Heathcote and on Dec 28th I brought a lovely couple from California to the Vinea Marson cellar door and they had an amazing experience with Madeleine who blew my guests away with her hospitality. For anyone in the Heathcote region be sure to pop in and enjoy a platter and a wine tasting. Highly recommend!

Beautiful family run vineyard where you will be greeted my Maggie the dog before sitting down in a lovely rustic old building for a tasting. Madeline is fantastic, and Mario is a wealth of knowledge, sharing many insights of wine making from his native Italy. Well worth a visit just to meet this family, but the wine itself is exceptional.

Great series of wines. We bought a mixed dozen. Great talking to Mario and Madeline. Passion and knowledge and skill. Nice atmosphere talking to our fellow tastees.UPDATE APRIL 2020. Had a wine tasting recently and the Vinea Marson Sangiovese was the unanimous hands down winner. It was an Italian Varietals night with 15 bottles shared and tasted. Well done Mario and team!!

Good Friends brought us to this winery as bid for this at a fundraiser..We had a great day drinking his fabulously fine wine & enjoyed a cheese platter to die for prepared by helen . The tour of the winery was informative & we were spoilt has had the owner most of our visit serving us wine & telling us his family history which was very interestingA very relaxing day away from the stresses of daily life. Well worth a visit . .

Visited Vinea Marson last weekend for one of 4 tastings in the area. I must say, all the wine tastings in Heathcote were great, but this one was a tasting that deserves extra acknowledgement. The tastings are done by the owners themselves, being a lovely family with strong Italian roots. It instantly brought a warm and cosy feeling, instead of a quick taste. The wines were really good and were accompanied by a small antipasti. I am certainly coming back!

Right, finally managed to log into this review page - the Google Gnome was misbehaving! But, must say that the experience at the winery is what makes a good cellar door visit. Knowledge, history, hospitality and customer service. And nothing at all wrong with the wines either - all well made and eminently drinkable. That includes the Prosecco despite not being a great fan of the variety etc. Mind you, I’m no great Champagne aficionado either - but for some strange reason, a sparkling Shiraz does appeal to me. Go figure! Sorry about that tangent! And finally, great to see such passion and pride bubbling over. Just might have to come back sometime! And also thanks for sorting out delivery so the mixed dozen didn’t have to suffer too long in such torrid weather!

Amazing casual feeling at the winery, but the wines are all superb. Could only decide favourites as they were all that good. Looking forward to coming back this way for more wines.
