We have just finished a complete facade upgrade/renovation on our 10 yo home with Mitch and the team at Mitcon Build. The whole process from design to completion was brilliant. The team were punctual, hardworking, courteous and respectful at all times which was super impressive. Mitch coordinated all trades perfectly and provided constant updates to us throughout the project. Highly recommend these guys. Mitch & his team at Mitcon built a post-war timber, second level extension on our home which had its challenges with changing roof lines, box gutters etc.Mitcon was a local builder I found in Holland Park as I wanted to keep things simple and close to home.I can honestly say the guys have gone above and beyond to have this delivered prior to Christmas 2019 (just in time for a new bub), and we couldn't be happier with the end product. The workmanship and finishes have been top class.Working in the industry myself I am overly critical of workmanship and to date I haven't been able to fault to work of Mitcon. Mitcon will be having the first crack at any future renovations.Thanks for your efforts Mitch, Mitch, Connor and Kenny.

Mitch has just finished complete renovation of our 2 bathrooms and laundry. From the start Mitch stood out with his easy going, yet professional nature. Always friendly, on time and clear about what was being done when. He contributed to the design and brought some great ideas to life. The quality of the work is awesome and the attention to detail is fantastic. Mitch kept me across all details and there were many things identified and fixed through the build that other builders would have ignored. Can’t say enough good things about the service and quality. Wouldn’t consider any other builder and highly recommend Mitconbuild.

Mitch, Sam and their team were a dream to work with on our extension. We added 65m2 to a post-war timber Queenslander cottage, and are so thrilled with the results. Mitch and Sam worked with us at every stage and on every detail to make sure we got a quality finish at the right budget. They also worked wonders to get all of the materials together at a time when there were nation-wide shortages, and were clear in communicating how these challenges would affect our project. Their team were incredibly professional and friendly. It's a big thing to hand your home over to someone else, but we always felt in safe and confident hands with Mitcon. Would 100% recommend them.

From the first contact through to signing of contract and the execution of the works, Mitch has been very professional to deal with, giving us good advice that resulted in better outcomes for our mini reno at our home.On top of the contractual scope of works Mitch went above and beyond to help us get some additional bits sorted that were only identified once works had commenced.Will definitely be using Mitcon Build again once we are ready to commence the next part of our Reno works.

In the last 8 months I have been building my home with Mitch Poklington of Mitcon Build.My home is a one off design being that of Hamptons Beach design with a large front deck entertainment area similar to a Queenslander. There were many special features and Mitch was very approachable and knowledgeable of exactly what was required.Any time I went to see the house build Mitch and his other workers were always very friendly and happy to answer any questions I might have. I was included in the decision making at all times.I am so happy with my new home and would recommend Mitcon Build for any job no matter how big or small. We spent 11 months collaborating with Mitcon, 7 of which were waiting on designs to be finalised.In the last 3 months of this relationship communication dropped off and Mitch became completely unresponsive to texts.We gave Mitcon the benefit of the doubt due to covid delays and continued to move forward without any communication.Upon calling their office we were strung along for another month at which point we were then emailed to say Mitcon would not carry out our project.Attached to this was an inflated quote 250K over our original budget, which was understood from the very start of this relationship.We turned down 2 other builders for this project, convinced by Mitcon that they would be able to accomodate us.$15K out of pocket and 12 months wasted with a disingenuous builder.

We engaged Mitcon for our house renovation, it was a Queenslander we raised, built under and extended the back. Initially we consulted Mitch and he referred us to his designer, structural engineer and certifier with the option to engage them through him or directly. We decided to engage them directly however Mitch was very supportive during the initial process. After the design was completed, he introduced us to his interior designer who we engaged through Mitch to finalise the interior selection. Mitch then provided us a quote based on the design and interior selection schedule. We touched base with other builders however at the end we found Mitch easy to deal with and reasonable. Mitch is honest, proactive and good communicator. We signed the contract with Mitch to commence our project called “Z House” and the fun begun.We had variations, however nothing surprising really; It was mostly due to changes we requested which was quoted reasonably as variations. The only thing outside our control was earth works variation, which was due to some concrete slabs at the back yard poured by previous owner many years back and had been covered under soil over the years, we and Mitch didn’t know about it. Mitch was humble and apologetic about it, but it wasn’t really his fault, and it wasn’t much in the oveall scheme of things. Mitch was consulting us during the construction, kept us in the loop and accommodated our request. He was quick in responding to emails and phone calls and lessoned to any concerned we raised. Mitch rebuilt our Verandah deck as a favour at no cost as he thought the original timber floor and supports weren’t in good conditions and he din't like to leave it as it was.Despite all the rains, Covid and many other challenges we faced during construction due to unforeseen issues, we only had a couple of weeks delays due to the extra works requested, saying that Mitch and his team were worked very hard to make the house ready one week sooner that planned as our rental agreement was due to expire. It was literally crazy the last two weeks of the construction with Mitch flooded the site with tradies to finish the project. His team members were great, and the quality of their work was perfect. Specifically, his supervisor who had eyes on details. The team loved what they were doing.I turned up to site on numerous occasions to catch up with Mitch and saw him diligently inspecting on installations and sub-contractor works to ensure the quality of workmanship. Lots of nice details around the house, how he finished leveling the above ground pool with the deck and the house, seemless conections between the rooms, entries and patio, the way they blended the old section to the new section of the house, ... . He came up with good solutions for issues we faced, as an example he came up with an idea to design a 7m custom flashing in Textura black between our cabinetry and submarine window in the kitchen which turned out to be nice. You don’t get this kid of services building with big companies or house and land packages.He accommodated lots of late requests and changes like applying epoxy to our garage floor.We moved in eventually last year in July, and Mitch and Sam were very supportive since then as well. Any issue or queries they were quick to action or respond to us. We are happy with the result, and we believe we had value for the money we spent.If you are looking for an honest, reasonable and easy to deal with builder and get high quality and workmanship, we will recommend Mitcon build.

Mitcon Build created an incredibly beautiful kitchen and ensuite for our home. Mitch is infinitely patient, always on time, offers great ideas and goes above and beyond to help the client achieve their goals. Nothing is too difficult and I’m pretty sure I didn’t hear the word “no” used throughout the entire project. We’re so pumped with the final product!

Mitch moved several structural walls inside my home and reshaped my entire floor plan. If you want someone who works efficiently, takes pride in their work, shows up when they say they will and has the skill set to cover a wide range of work scope then I'd definitely recommend Mitcon Build.
