Fantastic restaurant. New owners and the service and food was spot on. They were very accommodating to my allergy and served a beautiful dish. I was impressed the dishes are all prepared fresh. Lovely, friendly service. Will definitely be returning.

Had an awesome lunch at The Pickled Herring. The restaurant was clean, the service was quick and the server was very polite. The salt and pepper squid was absolutely delicious, very tender and came with chips and a salad. The garlic bread and arancini balls were tasty. The butter chicken had a bit too much tomato in it for my liking but it was still very palatable and tasty and the battered fish and chips were really good. The serving sizes were very generous. I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning.

Come to this restaurant if you want to be yelled at by the chef while he thinks it's a big joke that you've been waiting over an hour for a meal you've paid for that he hasn't even began.Chef said the food ticket had been lost and wasn't his fault while smirking trying to start a fight, not backing down that it's not his problem. All we wanted was our meal that we had paid for.Never experienced anything like it. Definitely do not recommend...Such a shame as used to be a great place to go.

I wished I had read the recent reviews before coming back. What a difference a year makes. This restaurant is no where near what I remembered it to be. Came again for my dad’s birthday. The barramundi was soggy, skin not crispy. The chicken parmi was covered in a soggy crumb coating and the scotch fillet was grisly and raw in places, not the medium rare I requested. Each plate was half covered with chips that tasted like they were cooked in old oil. The bench seats could do with recovering too. The place is just tired now with a cook (they are no chef) who’s food is mediocre. So disappointed and will not come back.

First time here, rode motorbike from Floreat. Stunning. Friendly staff. Amazing views on a sunny day. Have the Katsu Chicken burger - delicious. Won't need to eat for a few days! Chips - perfection.

The Pickled Herring Restaurant
We go to Two Rocks every year for the memorial of my Dad. He loved this place. We were so disappointed after driving the long drive. After being treated with such great respect by Kelli the previous owner and making everyone feel special we have had the most awful experience. One of my sons threatened by the chef after asking where his and my elderly mothers food was. After over 1and 1/2 hours wait. All the other meals took between 1-2 hrs to arrive at the table. The food was absolutely terrible. I’m sure the butter chicken was a lean cuisine meal. The barramundi was like a board. The burgers were dry and meat cooked on the outside and raw in places on the inside. I have never been so disrespected in my life. Especially when this is such a special occasion for our family. Someone someday is going to take up your chefs offer to step out the back and sort your little chef out. You horrible aggressive little weasel.
