*This does not apply if you are only walking to the Kingfisher Pool & back from Waterfall*Public Safety Warning -November 2020: The section of this track from Mooray track intersection to the Battery Causeway is very overgrown and dangerous. There are so many branches presenting trip and facial hazards. You will have to go slow. It has been completely neglected by NPWS and they should close it for maintenance. You will need full-body clothing to avoid grazes and scratches which means you will be hot, sweaty & uncomfortable if it's not a cool day.I'm an experienced walker and got lost returning from the Battery Causeway because the track was so overgrown/indistinct. There were no signs/ribbons/painted arrows on this section to find the track. The Kingfisher Pool and the walk there is nice.

Takes about 4 hours from Waterfall to Heathcote station. Little steep at places and needs navigating around boulders. Awesome walk all the way with lots of birds and flowers. Kingfisher pool is a good place to have lunch break.

A lovely track, really beautiful. Sadly I came during a drought, so I didn't really see the waterfall. The reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because of the track and signs. In my way back to Waterfall station I got lost. The track is not marked well. But besides that it's recommendation worthy!!

Great walk to do in spring. Bit of a rough track with some navigating around rocks to do and scaling of boulders but most of the walk is clear and relatively flat. A few little spots along the way to dip your toes. Kingfisher pond is the only place to swim but is a bit heavy on the sediment (ie. Not crystal clear, appears muddy). Still, great walk with lots of bird life

Well worth the trek. Steep in parts but do-able for the casual bush walker. Lovely views of the valley and easy access to rock pools along the way. Takes about 3-4 hours return, but if you would prefer to do a loop, you can connect up with the pipeline track and walk to Heathcote train station and get the train back to Waterfall where you started.

This is great tranquil walk to do with the family but would not recommend for very young children as going down the boulders rocks is a bit challenging. There's limited off street parking which is free.I believe there could be better signage at each intersection as we just didn't know where to go being a first timer. We did the Kingfisher Pool loop and the reward is definitely worth the walk, great for a swim in summer. I just can't believe we've got such a beautiful national park in our own backyard.Highly recommend.
