Possibly just had the best fish burger of my life.. was that a Turkish roll.. next time,.I'd change the sauce and it would be a 10/10.. well done. See you next week!!

One of the most popular fish & chips shops in Cairns and for good reason. Always fresh fish, cooked to perfection in a light golden batter and generous serves keeps us coming back on a weekly basis.Due to their popularity, I highly recommend placing your order by phone. This evening it took an hour for our order to be cooked and ready for pickup!

The best fish and chips I've had in at least a couple of years.I had spent the whole day in Palm Cove and at the end of it decided I'd finish it off with some good fish and chips so I googled best fish and chips in Cairns. And these guys came up. I read the reviews and decided I give them a try. Best decision I made. Do yourself a favour and visit these guys. Sensational!!

What a horribly sad day.I have been going to Balaclava fish for many years, and for the first few it was a very good experience.Over the last few years it has became more hit and miss with each visit, and I mean by that, one time it would be okay,and the next time it would be average.After going there tonight,There is no doubt in my mind that there will not be another time that I buy fish and chips from this shop.I don’t know why but they now have crinkle cut chips which taste like they have been bought from the Coles budget line freezer.The battered Fish was okay,but I paid $24 for a meal for myself,and if I pay that price I would expect the quality to be of that level, but unfortunately it was well below my moderate expectations.So that,is the end

I have found my fish and chip shop in Cairns. Reminds me of home. The fish and chips...what can I say, it's amazingly delicious and the staff are very friendly. I plan to make Balaclava Fish my regular go to fix. Thanks guys, you'll be seeing a lot more me.

My favourite Cairns fish and chips shop.The sweet potato chips and crumbed mackeral are sensational.The business has recently changed hands and the young man who now owns the shop is doing everything he can to make it even better.Try their fish and chips, you probably will not go anywhere for this Aussie staple.

Stopped by on Sunday evening, after a trip to the barrier Reef.Great food and service. Calamari was excellent and so was the Spanish Mackerel.

Best fish burger in Cairns! Great value for money at $15 & I got choice to have it grilled . I also added 6 fried calamari for $7 . They werent the usual frozen calamari crumbed rings youd expect but handcut thick strips . Nice and tender .
