I bought a bed that arrived to my home damaged with parts of the wood chipped/gouged and scratched. The Owner's response to this was: it's not damaged it's imperfect and that if the bed is placed in front of a wall it doesn't matter. We have had a bad experience with Planet Furniture to put it mildly. We were told delivery included assembly, it didn't. When we questioned this the response was: you didn't ask for it. We were asked for 100% paymemt upfront when the bed hadn't been made and had to ask them to follow their own policy. The owner questioned us on why we were buying a mattress from somewhere else which is fair enough and we answered we tried the mattresses and found one from another shop that was more supportive. He then went to say that other mattresses could use inferior materials and that would explain why it costs less - making an assumption we were making a decision on price and lack of knowledge. I have explained all this to the Owner who was unreasonable on the phone but after sending him photos of the damage he offered a refund if the bed is in the same condition it left the factory albeit in a very rude email. We had decided to buy furniture from PF for sustainability reasons which is why I went ahead with the purchase but we had such a poor experience, for an upmarket item, I do not recommend this business. There are other sustainable furniture stores out there.

Amazing range of the most beautiful homewares and furniture. Where to start? From the simply beautiful handmade porcelain lighting to the most sublime throws! My favourite new piece though is my vintage Japanese vase. Lovely place to shop.

Had a wonderful time browsing the showroom. I believe the young man's name was Hayden, he assisted me in my purchase of one of Ross' magnificent Spotted Gum beds. Thanks to the intoxicating Sandalwood and the new bed, I will certainly be sleeping well tonight!

This is our favourite furniture and homewares store in Sydney. Over the years, we have bought a number of pieces: a console for our television set and equipment, an alternated cabinet and we have just taken delivery of a fatboy chest of drawers. Each piece is exquisitely designed, engineered and crafted. The worksmanship continues to delight after many years of repeated use. Ross — the owner — can offer custom-built modifications, which make their pieces feel personal and unique, something that would be difficult to achieve with imported furniture. They use Australian sustainable hardwoods and care about the whole carbon footprint of manufacture. The delivery team couldn’t have been more helpful or senstitive to the quirky requirements of our small apartment. If you’re serious about buying beautiful Australian designed and built furniture, Ross is a great resource.

For furniture that is brilliantly designed and made, I highly recommend Planet Furniture. I have bought dining chairs, a bed, a side table and sofas from Planet Furniture and am super happy with all of it. All the furniture is beautifully made with the highest grade timber and attention to detail. The latex bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. Furthermore, the customer service is exceptional. A high grade experience on all levels.

I've purchased a custom standing desk, a bed and mattress, and countless gifts and home-wares there.They're knowledgeable, lovely, expert, ethical, sustainable, super helpful - and everything they sell is absolutely beautiful.All of their staff are really knowledgeable. They always go the extra mile, whether it's doing extra research to make recommendations or staying open a late to help my parents.Ross, the owner, is just fantastic. When I asked him to make me a standing desk, he instantly came over to my office and sketched a beautiful design, seeing needs I didn't realise I even had. His cabinet-makers finished it quickly; they did such a great job several of my colleagues ordered them too.Ross pioneered a method of making furniture from sustainable, locally grown spotted gum. For some pieces he uses solid planks with a clever reinforcing system; for others he created a beautiful solid ply with contrasting edge details. He really knows what he's doing.When I ordered my bed, I went to several specialist bedding shops but none of them were as knowledgeable as Ross. He had plenty of research handy, including some blogs he wrote, which I think are on their website.My office is just across the street, so I drop in frequently to buy gifts. In fact I buy gifts for my family there so often that they think I am responsible for the wonderful gift wrapping they do! They have a great range of ceramics, scarves, fabrics, sheets, pillows, throws etc.Ross does regular trips to India and Japan to source ceramics and fabrics. If you ask him, he can tell you the genesis of most of the pieces in the shop and show you photos of where and how they were made.They're a great business all round, and often host community events and initiatives, from helping refugee employment services to showing off upcoming designers.I couldn't recommend this place more highly, and I know several friends who would agree!

Ross and his staff have exceptional attention to detail regarding costumer service and product knowledge. Our entire family have purchased furniture such as tables, beds and bedding. Our ceramic collection is remarkable thanks to the wonderful staff at Planet, and the vintage Japanese ceramics are covetable for sure! We are saving for our next piece of Planet. Planet furniture is a hidden gem of Sydney. Such a unique and inspiring range of home wares and furnishings. Ross and the team are delightful people who always provide 10/10 customer service.

Our purchase from Planet furniture looks so beautiful, suits our place very well and my daughter thinks the sofa bed is especially wonderful.Ross was equally helpful when we were browsing and later, when we turned up without an appointment but ready to make a decision and place an order. The two guys who made the delivery and assembled the sofa bed were lovely and thoughtful.It was a big purchase for us but it feels lovely to have two very beautiful pieces that will last forever.

I would recommend NOT to visit this store if you have a self respect.I visited this store last month because it looked amazing from the outside. As soon as you enter, you are in a heaven! It smells amazing. Their product range is great. But once you start talking to their sales team, you just fall from heaven to hell. They are rude and have no idea about the customer service.They think they are very up market store but their attitude is third class. I would like to mention about Ross, who is the store owner, he is the most rude person you will ever come across. He is arrogant, rude bastard! He thinks ordinary people can not afford his stuff so he wouldn't pay attention or answer any queries.I am not visiting this store ever.
