Camera House - Rockhampton

What an amazing team! As a photographer who used to buy online, I’ve found the service, communication, knowledge and prices offered by the folks at Camera house to make buying online a terrible idea. I’m continually surprised by how much time they will spend to make sure your experience there is top notch.

A professional team that are eager to help. I find a measure of a good customer service is how the staff handle them selves when there are inevitable problems. These guys do there best to resolve things quickly when things don't quite work out. I have found them to be very helpful and courteous and anyone thinking of buying online should consider supporting a quality local business.

I have been into the Camera House about 3-4 times, to my embarrassment it has always been to see if I could get help with my camera, I didn't purchase it at the Camera House but hoped I could get help.Wow so nice to be served efficiently by a cheerful and very helpful bloke, he made me feel like a valued customer showed me all kinds of options and didn't make me feel like I was wasting his time......I am hopeless with technology and have returned a few more times always with the same service and response. I live in Yeppoon but recently made the point of driving to Rockhampton to buy some photo frames from them as I wanted to just show support, I hope in the future to spend more with them.All staff should be congratulated on their level of service and attitude well done A++++++++ customer for life.

I recently ordered a tripod online. I received a call from Camera House informing me that the tripod I wanted wasn't in stock but that they would give me the next model up at no additional charge. Great customer service - will definitely be returning for any future photography needs.

I found the staff at Garricks Camera House to be the the key factor in definining it as a pleasant shopping experience. Staff members Zachary and Sandra, on several occasions, spared no effort to make me feel both comfortable and valued as a walk in customer. Their service was exceptional without the standard 'come along, I'm busy' attitude unfortunately displayed by many business attendants of the day. Their foresight in anticipating to satisfy my curiosity concerning technical enquires was greatly appreciated . It reduced my anxiety, put me at ease and I am sure it went over and above the textbook definition of classic attendant-customer relationship when they provided me with the basic hands on service of a comprehensive troubleshooting procedure which involved charging my camera battery. The battery had no charge and neither did Garricks. I walked out of the store totally and very pleasantly flummoxed. I would not hesitate to refer Garricks to anyone, particularly someone wanting to realise their expectations of genuine good, quality, service.

Brilliant customer service and advice every time! We purchased a Nikon SLR Camera in 2010 and a drone in 2020 and both times Dale has provided comprehensive product knowledge, a very competitive price package and a great aftercare service. Thank you!

Ashley from Garrick’s Camera House was very helpful on getting a photo for my mother-in-laws funeral. She made it smooth and hassle free to sort out the photos in less than an hour. Fantastic service!

These 5 start are for Sandra. Really thought I was going to leave with a bad impression after certain events but you turned my impression of the store all the way around. Thanks for being so understanding and helpful while sorting out the issue. Hope you are looked after there.

Seriously disappointed with service, or lack of. Wanted a camera cleaned and serviced. Dropped of on a Monday with specific instructions written down (after calling and speaking with Sandra to confirm they can do it). Collected on Thursday, and work not performed as they are unable to service internals. Outside was also not down as view finder is still dusty & dirty. Though I was not charged anything (other than a Canon lens and filters I bought), I now have to go elsewhere to get service done. No contact was made to advise they couldn't do what was asked. As for batteries I asked to be replaced, upon collect was told to go to Battery World and buy them. Will not be returning to this store again.

Why deal with any other business? Online or otherwise Sandra and the team will seriously impress you with their knowledge of all things photo and video! Forget those big box or online stores. Talk to this team first for the best advice and personal service!
