Your vegie curries give me life! How do you make your Dhal so delicious? The aromas of your dishes takes me back to traveling through Sri Lanka. Best Sri Lankan food this side of the Indian Ocean!!! And very affordable! I keep stocking up on a few mixes of veggie curries then taking them home to eat for the week.

We enjoyed rice and curry, parata and ordered 3 koththu's for takeaway. Awesome service by Micky. I went in with an Indian frnd of mine and Micky took his order in Hindi. Talented and passionate manager. Love to see so caring people like this in hospitality. Well done kitchen team. Unfortunately we live a bit far but we will be back definitely. All the best

This place was referred to me by a Sri Lankan friend stating this got great Sri Lankan food varieties such as koththu, fried rice and etc and I love to eat spicy foods. Regardless of seeing below negative google reviews I went to this shop by taking my friends words and had few varieties which my friend recommended. OMG! What a shocking experience 1. Music was too loud, must be playing Sri Lankan songs! 2. Food never tasted good and the quantity was very little as I ordered a large portion, just go SE suburbs shops to see what is a larger position is mate and almost didn’t see mixed of chicken to my meal ( there was a review stating less chicken in their koththu and it was proven to be very true ) when my friend sharing your food in our office it was great but not this time. When I talked to my friend he told me owners must be focused on their Northcote shop not on this shop anymore and just doing social media marketing only and give it one more try after a week ! but sorry I don’t want to waste my money and time mate. Please avoid this shop and I never recommend this place to anyone. Also, please check other bad reviews as well to get a better understanding of this terrible shop.

This place is a hidden gem.Dan at the counter is super friendly & helpful, he will guide you if you are unsure about the menu.There is outdoor heated seating also available.The food here is fantastic it never disappoints.I have tried the chicken, beef kothu.Serendib special fried rice, snacks & Ghee dosa deal.Super pocket friendly, quality food.End of a meal with a Lankan tea is a must have.My new goto place with mates eating quality food and sipping refreshing tea.

What a hidden GEM!! Serendib has so much variety in their dished and all with such authentic Sri Lankan taste. One of my friends recommended this restaurant and I am soo glad they did! I am so happy with the great customer service I received all the staff make you feel so welcomed! The music and especially there Yarra tea makes you feel at home! I can't wait to come back. Will definitely become one of my regular stops on the way home :)
